  1. NFL feels waay different this year.
  2. Yes paying a few guys millions not to coach your team is chair pennies for tepper. Still they stop taking your emails, calls, and texts, or most did this past season. I'd hate hate hate HATE to be in court against Teppers piggy bank. Apple maybe one of few not scared with their lawyers. https://www.wcnc.com/article/sports/nfl/panthers/matt-rhule-arbitration-lawsuit-carolina-panthers-david-tepper/275-67428987-74c1-4bc6-84ef-86cab811d6ca
  3. Panthers, I mean Tepper covers the contract tho. Chris Tabor sat out last year and tepper paid him full. Plus best I understand, in simple terms if RHule signed a 7year(Jay-Z meme) 10 million per deal and is fired. Then Nebraska signed Rhule to a 4 year 7 million per deal, Teppers has to kick in 3 million per year over that span. *But lawyers got involved * I thought Frank Reich was consulting and if that's so, ACC/team can pay him any salary(1.00 - 500,000)and again Tepper covers the remainder. Depends on the written language of contract. I do think at one point Tepper was paying Rhule, Wilkis, Tabor, and Frank at the same time. Best I know when a asst coach takes over, they get a new contract cause they are the HC now, more duties and its messy at that point. I have heard super petty contracts where the former team has to send the former HC one dollar to cover the cost. Tepper was in fact blacked ball by many HCs and coaches, no one wants to move their whole family and be fired within a few months(other teams pay too). Especially after all the "love" and pictures and press about how new HC is going to solve all the Panthers problems. Brian Callahan was the top/only target, but titans gave him a HC contract while Tepper fumbled. Coaches talk and Tepper also fired many assistants, they are just like old women at the hair salon when it comes to talking/gossip.
  4. Tepper is on the hot seat about firing coaches. Dave signed a six year deal and I believe so did Dan. I think he's paying around 4 HCs right now, if rhule didn't get the lawyer memo. It's at that point, where average-good-great HC were avoiding the Panthers. Dave was passed over in Seattle and had to take a OC job in TB. One year later, Brian Callahan was rumored to be the main target for Carolina, he took the titans job instead......(that's hella bad). To save face, Dan hired Dave within days to cover the blunder. You can always get someone to take a million+ HC job, but are they worth it??
  5. Not to say Richard Sherman is the same either, but similar numbers. Some-time players just figure it faster than others. Norman took 2 or 1.5 years, he was in and out of the doghouse for many weeks. Then he figured out how to "use" his hands without getting flagged much like Sherman did. Thor was the best part of that game, nearly the only good part....
  6. Its pres-season and all, just that was most of the panthers 1st teamers vs browns 2nd/3rd/rookies. Browns look better even with 2s and 3s. That was a 3 win team and they just looked better prepared, faster, and stronger. I know there's no game-planning. I also know there's Dave&evero didn't call plays. Brother its just been too long with the losing, that's the problem. Pres-season memes or not.
  7. FYI- Best I know he is not calling plays. Not to toss off his hate, at best Im giving 4-6 before I start the "fire" stuff. Whatever happens Dbrown needs some DMVP votes cause he is playing DE, DT, and LB.
  8. Director of College Scouting The chief director of college scouting was a Jaguar scout for 8 years from 2013-2020
  9. one of panther top scouts/ worked for them in high ranking role, see if I can find him.. e- https://www.panthers.com/team/ownership_business/jared-kirksey-x6838 Kirksey came to the Panthers with 13 years of NFL scouting experience, including eight seasons with Jacksonville (2013-20), starting as the club's BLESTO scout, before working as a college scout for seven seasons.
  10. only when they played the panthers
  11. He just got thee Big bag too..... One of the rule of thumbs when the cart is needed minimum of 4-6 weeks until the player is back to health. Other times they are done for the year.
  12. The main problem with Watson besides his tiny towel rapey shenanigans, his contract is fully guaranteed. I read somewhere the browns just spent a lotto ticket on Sanders with the hope he can "save" them until a buyout agreement is done with tiny towel. Garrett is worth every penny, he's another Peppers and there's only 2 of them ever. Ward is right there with horn among Talent evaluators, if not better. He's worth every penny too.
  13. It's the jags, no clue why they do what they do. Like Panthers there's been turn over over over over, I don't know the new GM habits or beliefs. Or if they are switching defense or _______ . DOesnt matter since Llyod is legit great at LBing. True he's not top 3, but PFF top 15 overall ALL LB 2023 and 2024 New trend among teams, they are not doing 5th year options for OG and LB. Even if they are great. Do not ask me why they spent a 1st on LB or OG, just telling you what's happening. My guess is no chance Hunter will double duties. Until he does, I believe he will only play around 10 snaps at WR and full time CB. Brown is one year and meh. SO they need a #2 and #3, thats perfect role for COker. It's a perfect fair deal for jags and Panthers. If I was a jags fans, Id agree. Im 100% Panthers and agree too. Draft pick is fine too. It's just the first time in a long time where Panthers have all their picks, they just got over the BY package and Fitttttterererererererer traded a lot of picks/future picks over the years.
  14. Up until 3 years ago, I was still trying to swing the panther flag. They broke my sprint the following years and I never thought watching ALL minutes of my favorite team would feel like torture. 100% serious. Fixing the least talented roster takes time and I do feel they have truly added some talent during Morgan and tillis era. I don't know if they will win 7, but I do feel rather certain the games will be watchable this year unlike the past two years of eye diarrhea. BY and company should score enough to win/high 20s/more and the defense *should not be ranked in 30s on major categories*. Plus given NFC south is the saddest division, crazier seasons have happen if 9-10 wins gets a playoff game..... lots of luck, Panthers are over-due....
  15. I was about to come in here and say ALL 4 stringers minus Thor, will be cut. Thus making 2025 draftee Cam Jackson a cut and all he did was flatten a browns C at joint practice..... There are some spots.........., FINALLY where other teams may in fact claim Panthers cuts. OL, WR, DL and RB will have claims I feel. * maaaaaaayyyyBEee CB as well....given I have UDFA Thor making the team.
  16. Please don't take this as me selling you Nick Scott stock...... Just the past 3 years he's started 30 games at safety. He's been in everos defense for 5 out of his 6 seasons and Panthers leadership choose him over one of my personal favorites sam franklin. That said there's still plenty of time for someone else to step up and take the job, I do feel strongly ransom will be starting week one. Richardson should be the 3rd man as well, followed up by STer Nick Scott.
  17. Just last season Panthers traded Michael Barrett 2024 7th rounder for Michael Jackson before the season started. I think it was close to two weeks before Panthers kickoff.
  18. Parsons was on the 2nd highest point total allowed defense, so he sucks too..... He's also on a one year deal. Fact and point of that comment was to point out there are good/great/and even elite players on bad/30th rank units. Lloyd has been great from his first snap and only missed 4 or so games in 3 years. He is not a reason for jags defense suckage.
  19. I agree, the overall 2025 value scale is WR >>>> MLB. Big difference. Like many "message" board trade deals, its a tough balance. Lloyd was also a late 1st rounder and Coker was UDFA, that's a issue as well. I don't know how the current Brad/Dan/Evero/PFFFfff/Panthers leadership view the MLB role on a NFL roster. They made one switch recently for a LB, still looking at the current group. They are giving the impression that street FAs are enough for the job......
  20. Lloyd would only add 1.6 to the cap, that's awful small on the scale and Panthers have plenty of room to do so. Im no PFffffft guy, Lloyd was rated as top 15 overall LB in 2023 AND 2024. (Panthers *seem* to be heavy into PFF models/grades/whatever's) Simple terms Panthers have extra WR and huge hole at MLB. Your 2nd worst comments, come on LG...Ive known you since the scout.com days. JC Horn was on the worst defense last year and played 15-16 games, is he trash because of that? You know the answer. I have no clue, why jags do jags stuff. Im not going to even try to piss up that rope. They drafted 2 LBs in this years draft and before that they had great depth and starters. Like the Panthers WR room, there's not enough chairs for all the NFL level ones. Rather than cut a player or two and get nothing, flip them to a team instead. Believe it of not player for player trades have been trending up in recent years, especially with the 5th/6th for 7th inclusion...
  21. Not hate meant towards people who gamble, *so long you are not ruining loved ones life*. I do not care what people do with their money, not my business. Years ago I had a couple acquaintances that gamble for their main job, at one point one of them made a legit fortune betting on WNBA of all things. Im not nearly as informed as a once was about sports in general and that was my whole reason we hung out- talk sports and strategy. You can call me whatever label, I say this while wanting as freedom as humanly possible. If I was king of all lands, no ads for drugs or gambling. FYI I consider food a drug(pills, booze, etc), so no food ads too. Still have the means to gamble and buy drugs, but not though ADs.
