He was just stating his opinion. I mean he was talking bad about the talent in Carolina as well. Stroud is the kind of guy that will say what he wants to say. He said that at the beginning of that interview.
-
And he was force fed the ball due to lack of other options. I wouldn’t be against trading him to a contender and letting Mingo play his natural position in the slot.
-
True and people thought the Bucs were tanking for Caleb before the season started. Canales and Baker proved that wrong too. Preseason projections are simply educated guesses.
-
His examples were players missing blocks and dropping passes. We need to upgrade those spots regardless to give Young a chance. Even if we draft the next CJ Stroud in 2025, he will appreciate the upgrades on offense.
-
They will have each other’s back no doubt. Young was hyping up Stroud pre draft talking about his leadership skills and how competitive he is. He was also thrilled to see his friend go number 2. It is comical though that Stroud is flat out stating his GM put him in a better position and people still want to argue it. I mean it’s literally the guy in that situation talking vs us fans posting online.

Nah I read something different from a YouTube comment…..
-
Well let’s put it this way. A lot of people on here have stated he is in a better situation (doesn’t mean he isn’t still the better QB for example Mahomes was in a better situation that Mitch), several analysts have stated this as well, and now Stroud himself has said it and we still have people that will argue against it. At this point the only person involved that hasn’t stated it is Bryce himself for obvious reasons.
-
Right most will say nothing bad about friends and other players. Going into specific details about their situations is different though.
-
Now give him a real coach to develop him.
-
Is this true? Can anyone confirm?

I was about to attack this low hanging fruit, but you beat me to it. Nice job! -
Stroud is humble and legit. Texans are lucky to have him. He does literally say the Texans GM did a better job putting pieces around him. Mentions QBs being powerless when blocks get missed or players drop balls. I mean the player benefiting from it is straight up telling us and people on here will still try to deny it. For the 100th time, Stroud can be the better player AND be in a better situation. Both things can be true.

Apology accepted. Yeah it was 3 weeks old but the recent video relates directly to it so there was no need for a new one. It is the offseason after all. We have a continuous thread about Young’s arm still going strong.
-
Or they just have a different opinion than you. CJ Stroud is explaining their different circumstances and he is still confident in Young. I don’t think Stroud is coping. You can think he is a bust and someone else can think he will turn it around. Bother are acceptable opinions without trying to label the other.
-
Stroud breaks down their different situations at the 16 minute mark here. He is a smart, humble man. Texans are lucky.
-
I guess people have different opinions on that?

This is kind of interesting. ESPN has a redraft for this past draft.. https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/insider/story/_/id/39423332/redrafting-first-two-rounds-63-picks-2023-nfl-class it has us taking Stroud at 1, AR to the Texans, and Young goes at 11 to the Titans.

If only there was some official event where they actual measure his height in front of a group of people that could put an end to this debate?? Oh well back to looking at pictures and guessing…
-
Yeah I couldn’t imagine him being that guy. At the same time if he wants to play for a contender we should just trade him to one and let Mingo play slot (his natural position).
-
Lol fair point.
-
Yeah being so obsessed on way or another is strange. He is a football player. He measured just over 5’10” which is very small for a QB. There is no need to over exaggerate it or get too worked up one way or another. Let’s just see if he can develop, if not we move on.
-
Agreed. The spot where we took him can’t be changed. Hopefully he can develop into our QB. If not we will just have to try to draft one again.
-
Just lazy. He was acting like Canales had his addiction issues in 2022. The year his book was published. He is too lazy to actually read the articles he wants to use but finds the time to write a billionaire a 20 paragraph letter on a message board he will never read. You really can’t make this stuff up…
-
He missed his teammate’s football camp because he had to go to a funeral. The guy was blowing him up over $600 for the plane ticket. Thats a lot less money to these guys than us. The fact the other guy “sucker punched” him tells you what kind of person he was at the moment. No @electro's horse someone buying your plane ticket to go to their football camp wouldn’t classify as gambling…. Why don’t you try to write Tepper another strongly worded letter. It’s time better spent than trying to serve as the Huddle’s TMZ making up nonsense about staff and players.

You might want to check on your character assassinations before you run wild with them. Regarding Geno Smith getting sucker punched.
