He was their DD that night. He was planning on picking them up regardless. He didn't want to wait in line to go to a club as he wasn't drinking so we went to get some food on the strip while he waited. That's the story given to the police and it seems to check out. They have his dashboard cam footage and everything needed to counter this story and see him innocent.

So his attorney is releasing a false statement that was also given to the police who have called him a "cooperative witness?" So the police are in on it, the DA is in on it and his attorney is turning in a false document to the legal system?? That's a lot of hurdles to jump through to try to keep that narrative going....

Miller's attorney, Jim Standridge, released a statement in which he pushed back on the idea that Miller was directly involved in the shooting. Standridge claimed that Miles asked Miller to drive him to the strip earlier in the evening, and Miles left his gun in the back seat of Miller's vehicle. Miller never saw the gun or handled it, per Standridge's statement, as it was concealed under some clothing. Miller was unaware that there was any argument, and he was already on his way to pick up Miles before a message was sent regarding the gun, per Standridge's statement. "Brandon never touched the gun, was not involved in its exchange to Mr. Davis in any way, and never knew that illegal activity involving the gun would occur," the statement said in part. The statement also noted that Miller had "fully cooperated" with the investigation and "submitted to multiple interviews."

It belonged to him and was accidentally left in Miller’s car. You want this 19 year old to ask 20 questions before returning a teammate his legal property? I really encourage people to read the facts on this case. He stated he was already in route to pick up Miles and Davis before he got the text about the gun and didn’t even realize it was left back there. Poor choice of teammates to hang out with 100%. Should have paid more attention as to what was entering and leaving his car 100%. It was poor judgment but he is still a free man because he legally did nothing wrong.

They picked the guy who was cleared.

Who starts beside Melo at SG if we trade Rozier? Maybe the vet we trade for? Hayward might also be traded now that we have Miller to start at SF. If not he could be a nice 6th man playing out his last year of that dumb contract.
-
Definitely loads of potential. I hope we get a new coach to develop them.
-
Are we pulling draft grades now? Spoiler alert, they aren't going to align with many people on here. I've seen mostly As and Bs...
-
The DA oversaw it as well. Are they all corrupt and protecting Miller or are you just trying to make it fit your current narrative?
-
The fans booed because they wanted Scoot because he has been hyped up for several years now. I remember fans getting upset about Melo as well. Fans didn’t like the Panthers drafting Luke. Fans aren’t always the best indicator. I get they are going to be skeptical of this franchise’s moves and it’s understandable. Again Miller was ranked 2 or 3 in most boards. It wasn’t some random move by this team.
-
Yet here we are trying to assume/prove it. It was released no charges would be filed against him pretty quickly. His story passed pretty easily so why are we doubting it so much?
-
That's fair. The consensus rankings had Miller at 2 and Scoot at 3, but everyone is entitled to their opinion and the case for Scoot being the better talent can definitely be argued.
-
Miles is a shithead, but I think Miller's situation is way different. No charges filed and he has been identified as a "cooperative witness" by the police. Was he being dumb/ignorant hanging with those specific teammates? Definitely, but you have to do a lot of assuming to make him a criminal.
-
Because he was already driving there and the gun was "unknowingly" already left in the back of his car. He definitely shouldn't hang on to someone's gun, but the main issue is hanging out with that crowd in the first place. I understand they were teammates, but you don't hear about Clowney hanging with that group. I hope a huge lesson was learned.
-
I think Scoot would have been a great choice (we would need a different coach, but honestly we probably still do), but I don't think that makes Miller a bad choice. I've seen pretty good draft grades for us so far.
-
It was a 18/19 year old hanging out with a bad crowd, who happened to be his teammates (which makes me feel a little better as he didn’t go out and seek these friends). Hopefully he learned his lesson, but I wouldn’t link his poor judgement of friends/teammates to him knowingly being involved with the killing of an innocent woman.

Pelicans have Ingram, Blazers have Dame. They need a player like Scoot, we already have Melo and need a scorer like Miller.
-
Yeah we need to move up with all those late picks.
-
All these teams wanting Scoot should make us think real hard about drafting him….
-
I’d rather gamble on Scoot or Miller than Ingram personally. I get he is a good young player, but he just doesn’t move the needle for me.
-
So a player was asked to give help, refused all game and the coaches did nothing about it while their MVP QB was getting physically destroyed? Sounds a little fabricated to me…
-
No I get it. It was a bad matchup with no game plan and no adjustments by our staff. That was peak Von Miller who was dominating a lot of RTs one on one. You have to send help…
-
Remmers vs Von Miller still gives me nightmares....
-
Yep both Budenholzer and Doc Rivers are available and would be immediate upgrades to help develop a young team like ours.

Now fire Clifford.
