Who was the best defense he played last year? Serious question.

What was the best SEC defense he played last year and where do they rank as a defense in the NCAA? The SEC had some good offenses, but it seemed like a down year for defenses…. I’m a SEC fan, but would argue the Big10 had the tougher defenses and of course weather conditions this year.

He is definitely tough for his size and as weird as it sounds he takes hits well. He seems to kind of give himself up and absorb the blows. I just hope he can do that with NFL players hitting him without any issues...

Alabama's TE and MLB are some other players we might be interested in. There should be a lot of talent in the building for our staff to also check out while they are flirting with Young.

You only trade to 2 if your are confident in BOTH players. If they are ranked pretty even you acquire extra draft capital and take whichever Houston doesn’t want. If we think option B plus the extra pick out weighs option A then you make the trade. You are right though, we better not assume we know who Houston would take at 1.

The only way I see that happening is if we trade down which I doubt happens. Stroud/Young are the franchise guys and AR/Levis are the high ceiling gambles.

The Young “hate” is just jokes about his size. Relax. No one hates Young or thinks he is terrible. Everything thinks he is great some are just concerned he might not hold up physically which is nothing against his football skill. We are still over a month away so prepare yourself for humor and arguing about which is better. The good news is BOTH are great prospects and we should end up with one of them as our new franchise QB to pair with our new solid coaching staff. It’s all good in Carolina right now!

Chip on his shoulder, ball placement machine, and he goes through his progressions quickly. Honestly I see some Trevor Lawrence in how smooth and effortlessly he throws the ball. I just don’t see how you pass on him with the top pick.

I like Stroud better, but even if Stroud’s arm strength is better it doesn’t make him better than Young. Young is a processor and playmaker with capable but not elite arm strength and there is nothing wrong with that.
