  1. Either way I don't want us trading for a QB again, we need to draft one. I just think it's waaaaaay to early to write off Lance.
  2. Exactly! This is nothing new. He does this every year with a decent regular season and chokes in the playoffs when good teams make Jimmy G beat them. It's the reason the Niners made the trade in the first place...
  3. I think we can fix Zach Wilson.... Let's trade with the Jets. What's the worst that can happen??
  4. I've always believed in the "actions speak louder than words" saying. Especially when the words are coming from unconfirmed sources in the media. Putting Jimmy G on the trade block AND starting Lance week one shows me they were more than confident in their young QB.
  5. Fair point. Kind of shows up we need a good offensive HC over anything else.
  6. That started him over Jimmy G and he got hurt? In fact they were trying to trade a proven veteran and roll with Lance. I don't understand how that isn't a glowing recommendation.
  7. That's a good way to draft another Mac Jones... Like I said before drafting a QB will never be an exact science.
  8. He threw 28 TDs and 0 INTs while completing 66% of his passes for 2786 yards. He probably didn't throw more because they were winning by enough for him to get pulled. So to make sure I am understanding correctly, you don't think that a 22 year old QB that has only attempted 102 passes in his NFL career due to injuries doesn't need more time to properly evaluate him? He is currently 56/102 for 797 yards with 5 TDs and 3 INTs as a passer (career). I just don't see how anyone can write him off from that??
  9. Lance was a good passer in college. His biggest issue in the talent level gap between his conference and the NFL IMO. Give him some time…
  10. I think Lance can still become a good QB. Like you said, it’s way too small of a sample size. They could have been shopping Jimmy G to show commitment to Lance without a seasoned starter breathing down his neck. I don’t really believe that was the case, but it’s possible. Fields has the offense scoring TDs which is why fans are excited. His throwing (while still very limited) is showing progress. If he can take that up another level he is going to be a franchise QB. I just don’t want to give away assets for another team’s QB. We tried it with Sam and Baker. Let’s try a different route..
  11. They kind of had to force their hand a little after what they gave up to draft him. It could have been more hoping he would keep developing (as he should).
  12. Being an Auburn fan, I'd be happy if we land Tank with a later pick like that.
  13. Yeah and according to this Icky sucked yesterday as well. Do you agree with that?
  14. Agreed. No more trades for QBs other teams don't want. It's a premium position and if a franchise doesn't want that player there is a good reason for it. Just draft our QB like most other franchises do. Keep trying in the draft until we get a guy.
  15. I would put his mobility right below Mahomes' level. He usually is looking to throw and when he commits to run it looks pretty awkward sometimes.
  16. Having Harrison Jr helps Stroud a lot and I am a Stroud fan.
  17. Minshew would also already know the system if we land the Eagles OC. That has to be a plus right?
  18. Imagine us drafting your favorite QB in this draft. Now imagine that same rookie QB with a fantastic mustache. Can you honestly say he is not better with a mustache??? I didn't think so...
  19. Rings and nut punching OL!! What more could us fans want?
  20. What do you mean? He has been a starter and a backup without any issues. Seems like a laid back, team first guy. As far as "mentoring" we should have a staff to help do that and develop the QB. He is Hurts backup now and Hurts seems to be developing just fine.
  21. I'm not pro Young, but he makes these pressure throws on the regular. His game is solid, his size is the only concern.
