  1. TAM has plenty of talent though. They have been top recruiting for several years. He is still running over and passing over solid talent.
  2. Richardson is looking solid again.
  3. They have to follow their game plan. Day has been limiting throws until just now due to weather. I just watched number 2 drop an easy TD…
  4. We are just ignoring the storm and reason both teams are not passing? Hell NW isn’t punting at this point.
  5. These Midwest games are insane right now. Crazy weather!
  6. Almost all QBs in every draft are developmental. Pickett and Lawrence were said to be “Pro Ready” and look at how they have started off. You can have a few generational exceptions, but for the most part rookie QBs need time to develop. I think even Peyton Manning threw a shitload of picks his rookie year.
  7. I get that Levis is trending down after that UT game, but I still see plenty of potential. He is 68% completion in a tough conference on a bottom tier team. I don’t think he has accuracy issues. I think he tries pressing too much and tries to force passes when his team is outmatched which makes him throw too many INTs. Neyland stadium rocked Kentucky’s rocked UK’s world and his whole team played awful. His OC did him no favors and his first pick was the WR losing the ball after he got hit (it went down hill from there). I mean 3 of his 8 INTs were from that game. Give him a HC that knows how to use him and he can be solid IMO.
  8. On a side note why isn’t Penix Jr getting any attention? He has the size and arm and is lighting up teams out west. What am I missing?
  9. I’m not sure Minshew has the arm strength to be a franchise QB. He is a great backup and decent bridge QB similar to Teddy IMO.
  10. That’s funny because a certain poster on here was bragging about how good Taylor is just a couple weeks ago…
  11. It’s nice to see Wilks has created sone respect for this team.
  12. I don’t think that list is for the draft FWIW. It’s just ranking college QBs in college not how they project in the NFL.
  13. Liked Corral in the draft and thought he would be the best for our offense. He was my number 2 behind Willis, BUT a new HC isn't going to let last year's unknown, injured, 3rd round pick stop him from drafting a QB in the first. It's just too big of a risk. If Corral somehow wins out in camp and proves he is our guy then we simply trade our 1st round QB and do a happy dance because we have our franchise QB in Corral. If he can't stay healthy or struggles (like a 3rd round QB should do), then it sets the whole franchise back another year. We will have to wait for another draft and spend another year developing a new QB. It's not happening and it's why we are sending scouts to the OSU, UT, UK, and Alabama games. We are scouting every team with a possible 1st round QB because we know we have to draft one.
  14. I like Ward a lot. He was my favorite early in the season, but I think he returns another year and fixes a few things.
  15. I'm not scared about batted passes?? I don't think I even mentioned batted passes? It's durability more than anything. Young already missed a game this year getting hit by college players. Russ might be an exception to the rule, but he may have just been in a good situation as Geno Smith is looking legit in Seattle and Russ is looking average away from their system. Kyler Murray has already had injuries as well. I also never said Young was bad in the pocket. I said Murray was been up and down when teams make him stay in the pocket. Again Young checks a lot of boxes, but durability has to be a concern and I'm not alone in this thought. More drafts have Stroud over Young than don't and the major factor is Young's size. It will be interesting to see where Young actually measures out at the combine, because he looks a lot leaner than Russ (but he can probably add weight to his frame).
  16. Van Dyke has some arm talent and looked legit last year. He has played better these past couple games. I wouldn't right him off and his arm could easily get him drafted before McCall.
  17. All of those (aside from Brees) have much bigger frames than Young. Also Wilson is struggling now that he can't use his legs as well and Murray is up and down (teams want to keep in the pocket). There is a reason why it's not the norm. Below 6'0" and under 200 might work in college behind a big Alabama OL, (and he has already been injured this year), but the big question is can it withstand getting hit by a huge NFL DL or LB. Brees got the ball out quick and rarely got hit. Young likes to buy time with his legs which is great, but usually results in contact. He has great traits, but longevity and durability have to be two huge concerns with him. Don't get me wrong, if we draft him I will be excited and hope he can stay healthy because if he can he looks legit. I just have Stroud higher in my rankings because of the size issue.
  18. https://walterfootball.com/draft2023QB.php Ok this has him as the 14th QB (Rounds 4-6).
  19. https://www.si.com/nfl/draft/.amp/news/graysonmccall They are saying McCall is a 5th rounder.
  20. 2 inches will make a difference as well as frame. Josh Allen only has 3 inches on Aaron Rodgers and obviously a much bigger frame, but that completely changes things. 6’ is very small for a QB, but teams have made it work with Brees, Murray, Russ etc… Lower than 6’ and you have just Murray who has already had some injuries. GMs love their statistical history.
  21. It just happened with Howell and Rattler. Then it was well 23’s class will be loaded! Now here we go again…
  22. That’s how I see it. Either trade up (or have a high pick) for Young or Stroud, or sit back and draft on upside with Levis or Richardson.
  23. Maybe not, but it would be odd to allow him to trade away CMC and turn down 1st round picks for Burns if he wasn't part of the long term plan IMO.
