Darnold isn’t a rookie and is on his second team so it’s really odd to compare him to a rookie aside from the fact he still makes rookie mistakes and probably will for the rest of his career.

Absolutely! He had Nagy and was in and out of the lineup because of Dalton with a bad OL and still flashed some potential. Rookie years are hard to judge anyway, see any rookie from that class not name Mac Jones (who really didn't have to do much in his offense). Yeah I would take Fields in a heartbeat now. Darnold was a 4th year Pro on his second team and still looked like ass.

KC’s picks are so late, it’s going to take a lot to jump in the top 10. Similar to the Niners jumping to 3 last year…

Man I was screaming for Fields last year and when he was there at 8 and passed I was crushed. Don't get me wrong I love Horn, you just don't see many teams that draft a QB in the top 10 turn it around quickly. The Lions with Okudah, Jags with Ramsey, the Cards way back when they drafted Peterson. A shutdown CB is more of a "luxury" position IMO. We should have Fields, no Sam extension (honestly no Sam trade, but that happened first), the $18.5 million extra cap space and in prime position to grab a LT to complete our OL for Fields...

You mean we shouldn’t wait for the 2035 draft class because they are projected to have more talent???

If McAdoo gets his wish it will be Willis IMO. He liked Allen and Mahomes. If he is confident in his ability as a coach he thinks he can develop Willis into something special.

You feel terrible for UNC fans because they lost in the national championship game with a rookie coach and as a 8 seed??? They overachieved and had a great year. It’s not like they had an insanely loaded roster with a coach that is arguably the GOAT and still got knocked out twice by a rival with less talent on the roster in their coach’s final year or anything.

It’s a nice bonus assuming the QB can do everything else well. It’s just another weapon at the offense’s disposal. Josh Allen and Prime Cam can be unstoppable with the right weapons/protection/play calling. It’s definitely not a must have, but a nice bonus…

Just curious, why do you think that about Pickett? He made a pretty big jump just last year. I feel like he can keep putting in the time and getting better at his craft. The 5th year senior thing is a big of a flag...

Seemed to catch Teddy’s passes fine. DJ even dropped Darnold’s. I think the whole offense was frustrated last year…

He was definitely frustrated with Sam on the sidelines. I watched him pace back and forth yelling at him during one game. Plus why not take the money (overpaid money) then try to force a trade if we keep Sam this year.

Oh you CAN, it just looks really really dumb… They pretty much owned Coach K twice, while Duke had a much better team and UNC had a rookie coach. Duke fans should probably lay low for a while.
