  1. Howell and Willis are slippery in the pocket.
  2. That might be the most fair assessment I’ve read yet.
  3. I’m watching the game. Pickett has been fine, Howell is getting sacked like his UNC OL is still blocking for him. Willis showed his speed/elusiveness will translate well. Pickett missed 0 passes and got a TD. (That’s considered good)
  4. I mean he has been perfect… Again I don’t want us drafting him, but let’s be honest you weren’t going to give any of them credit today because you have been against this class from the beginning. Then again you said we could go safety at 6…
  5. Not a Pickett fan, but he has been perfect 6/6 89 yards and a TD. Some people are going to criticize him no matter what he does. He reminds me of a more mobile Mac Jones, which isn’t really a bad thing.
  6. A safety at 6 when we need a QB and OL? Wow I would be speechless, but then again Rhule is calling the shots…
  7. The QB we should have drafted and the one I hope we will. ( I’m for Howell as well)
  8. Fair enough. He definitely has the mental toughness, and work ethic that a rookie could learn from.
  9. Willis is wired differently than Darnold. He is more of a alpha/leader while Darnold is more quiet/reserved. Players play harder for the stronger leaders like the energy Cam provided his first game back (granted it was short lived), but it’s also why the Bengals started playing better as a team once Burrow got in the locker room. I’m not saying Willis is on either of those player’s level, but he got Liberty energized playing well enough to beat a much stronger program in VA Tech. He does need work as a passer, but I don’t see him becoming a Darnold 2.0. Maybe Hurts 2.0 if he can’t progress as a passer?
  10. Sleeping on a pile of cash and seeing what college is going to throw even more money next year when Carolina fires me and still owes me a ton of money. I can’t feel sorry for the man, but he is just out of his element in the NFL. Maybe he can get lucky like the Bengals coach and have a player save his NFL career, but I don’t see that happening…
  11. If we bring back Cam (big if because he already says he wants to play for a contender), we should be able to take a Willis, Howell or Strong(not at 6 obviously) and let them sit a few games and learn. Honestly I’m not sure Cam is the best QB to learn behind though, he isn’t always fundamentally sound. The best scenario was keeping Teddy last year and drafting Fields to sit behind him. You know what they say about hindsight…
  12. There is definitely truth to that, but look at what the Niners gave up to move to 3 and take Lance. I’ve obviously won’t get 3 firsts, but if we could get their 1st, 2nd, and next year’s 1st, it’s definitely something to consider…
  13. I wonder what the Steelers would give up to jump to 6 and take Willis? They seem to be falling for him pretty hard…
  14. I went to school there. Undergrad at West GA, Masters at Auburn and now I live in Knoxville where everything is UT. Any other questions, comments or concerns?
  15. He will be great at Auburn! War Eagle!
  16. Stop crushing hopes and dreams!!!
  17. Yes! Wait, Auburn is my team…… damn it.
  18. Honestly Mitch would be fine for the right price. Even if we draft one they need a more stable QB to learn from not named Darnold. I could even see Mitch starting most of the season like Smith did before Mahomes.
  19. Interior OL. Is that a need?? (Kidding)
  20. I’m talking early like week one. The comment was PJ is a better QB than Willis right now. Once Willis gets some snaps/experience that will change. PJ shouldn’t really be on a roster since he is peaked and not very good.
  21. Trade down and walk away with Howell plus a 2nd/3rd would be a definite win! Grab OL after that and I would be so happy I’d almost forget who our coach is.
  22. Lol fair enough. You would be ok with Howell right?
