  1. Bell isn’t just a receiving back he is a patient runner who needs blockers. They CUT him from their team after a year. Perriman had less yards and half the TDs he had at Tampa his first year at the Jets. The Jets/Gase struggle to use talent correctly when they have it. Flaco went from 65% at Denver (where he sucked) to 55% with a lower rating and 0 wins on the Jets. Do you know get it? The JETS can’t use what little talent they get because Gase isn’t good at coaching. Cam had DJ Moore, Samuel, Funchess, Olsen, and CMC catches passes from him in 2018. If you think Perriman with his 600 yards, Mims with his 350, and Crowder make up a better group than that I’ve got nothing else to say. Cam just couldn’t recover from injuries he sustained from our shitty line.
  2. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaycee_Horn Someone updated Wiki saying he is number 24 also. I’d lean towards that between his tweet and liking Kobe.
  3. Coming from one of the top Fields Fanboys, you are looking waaaay too much into it. Rhule and Fitts preferred Darnold AND Horn over Fields. Both QBs are still unknowns (Fields more so because he hasn’t played one snap) but one can come with a potential shutdown corner which they viewed as a top need for us and it was. I hope Fields plays great, but I hope our team plays better. You could play the we passed on this player game all year long every year. It’s nonsense.
  4. He is just trying to hate on the starting QB for his allegedly favorite football team.
  5. My point is these players play much better away from the Jets and Gase. Anderson played better his first year away and Bell went from Pro Bowler on the Steelers to cut from the Jets in over one year of playing. How exactly was Darnold holding back his running back? You do realize the Jets have 0 wins without Darnold starting since he was drafted? I’m not saying Darnold made them look good, I’m saying the Jets/Gase held them back. Mims had just over 350 receiving yards all year and Crowder was a yard below 700 with 6 TDs after having just over 800 and 6 TDs the year before. Crowder was their WR1 this year and has no business being it for any team...
  6. Bell looked pretty bad on that team, which just shows you how bad it was there. He was cut after two years. Literally went from being one of the league’s top backs to cut from team in less than 2 years of playing for the Jets. Anderson was solid in New York but was almost strictly a deep threat. He looked a good bit better in his one year away from the Jets and showed he can do more than just run deep routes. This should show us that they’re will be improvement in Darnold leaving the Jets/Gase, but the question is how much?
  7. He tweeted a while back he didn’t want a single digit number, he wanted 24 like Kobe. I posted it on Wednesday, but it looks like he has removed that tweet since then.... Maybe he changed his mind. IMO number 1 should be retired.
  8. If we didn’t beat anyone we could have drafted Trevor Lawrence...
  9. So Horn and Marshall were high on the Saints boards and they draft pretty well...
  10. You have these responses ready without knowing who you are taking to. I have been very critical of Darnold. I still HOPE he plays well, but his turnovers are definitely a concern. It’s just comical how you are all in on a below average guy. Norv was successful BEFORE Teddy, he did not make him a coach. I suppose you think he made Sean Payton a good coach too right? He was on teams with great rosters and coaches with allowed him to play conservative ball and still win. When he needed to step up on a below average roster like last year he could not. He simply isn’t that guy that can elevate a team and he is no longer a Panther. Go put your big boy pants on and move on or go become a Denver fan and hope he can beat out Lock up there.
  11. Ibe, Robinson, Hartsfield, and possibly SOT or Pride being converted. We have several young options with some actually solid CBs in Horn, Jackson, and Bouye shaky FS play won’t hurt us as bad as it did in the past...
  12. Norv Turner was successful WAY before he coached Teddy. This obsession/reaching for data is getting pretty bad... My point was if he is so great more teams would have offered more for him.
  13. I think the point was excluding last year and it some what exposed him. He wasn’t his “winning” self with a below average roster...
  14. Man we traded him for a 6th round pick and still had to eat over half his salary. That tells you how the NFL values him. Teddy is ok, but not capable of putting a team on his shoulders when they need him. He is a solid backup/below average starter. Now everything I hear about him states he is a great locker room guy and team first player. I wouldn’t be against having someone like him as our backup under the right salary.
  15. I went into last season excited about Teddy. He was winning everywhere he played and Brady seemed to think I highly of him. I don’t think I ever “turned” on him. I think he is a decent QB/good backup. I remember arguing with Linville about not believing in Teddy (he was right). Maybe after the 5th potential game winning drive failure I kind of saw his ceiling wasn’t that high. He is like a Dalton to me. Solid, not too many mistakes, but won’t put the game on his shoulders in crunch time. He was higher in turnovers that I thought, but I think a lot of those came after he got injured. I don’t have comfort they made the right decision with Darnold. I was pushing big time for them to draft Fields to the point of annoying several people on here. I get they are 0-1 with the cost of $40 million when it comes to finding their QB. I see Darnold as still very raw where Teddy was polished and he has a higher ceiling, but lower floor because of that. He probably gives the staff more to work with (risk taker, stronger arm, and faster than Teddy), so it will be a good indication as to how well they can “develop” a QB as to having Teddy who was already developed into his max potentially IMO. At the end of the day they picked Darnold and Horn over Fields at 8 because they are high on him. He has potential and still is young so I’m cautiously excited about him and this season. I do love that he hit the ground running practicing with CMC and our WRs.
  16. Teddy is no longer a Panther. He didn’t fit what our staff was trying to do. The conservative, check down style passes aren’t what Brady was wanting. I’m as concerned about Darnold as the next person, but I completely get fans getting excited and hoping he does well. He is our QB now for better or worse.
