  1. He is still pretty involved with the current team. He retired for heath reasons or he would have simply asked for a trade. Retiring because you don’t trust the staff then immediately taking a job for that staff as a scout makes no sense….
  2. Could be either. I’d say that having a shaky OL most of the year creates bad habits and bad footwork. Regardless he needs to get better here.
  3. 100%. He has a huge hole right here to step up in or just the off. Thats a learning curve college vs NFL thing IMO.
  4. He also said Watson was the same way, but he could ball on Sunday and that's what counts. https://www.panthers.com/news/minicamp-notebook-diontae-johnson-creating-plays-and-competition I found it interesting how his opinion differs from Johnson, but it makes sense because Johnson has been on the field with Bryce longer and he plays offense so Young would be closer to him. "He embraced me, and I embraced him," Johnson said. "So, our relationship is steady growing every day. I try to be in his hip pocket; he's in my hip pocket for whatever play I need help with, or I try to tell him what I see when I'm out there running my routes. Little stuff like that, that's only going to continue to help us grow. "And I feel like he has that relationship with each and every one of us out there as a receiver group or any other position group out there. Just having that relationship with your quarterback so that you respect him and have trust in one another. So it's been going pretty good." (on a side note, I would have loved to see Clowney play with Cam)
  5. I wonder if these Darnold people want us to give Bryce the 6-7 years the league has for Sam? I mean the team that signed Darnold this offseason immediately traded up to trade a QB because they know he isn’t the answer. You have to keep swinging for a QB until you land one.
  6. Luke could have asked for a trade and continued to make millions of dollars. He walked away from the game because of injuries. He was wearing a neck collar to try to prevent future concussions because he knew they were going to eventually take their toll on his mind/body. Luke is still involved and in 2020 was a scout for Carolina. I don’t think he would have taken a scouting job if he thought he was working under a clown show. Patrick Willis also retired early as well and he was top of the league at the same position.
  7. There are plenty of great QBs who don’t talk trash and plenty of great ones that do. It doesn’t really matter as long as they can play on Sunday. That’s basically what Clowney said.
  8. I’m just saying what Clowney said. He wants the QB to lead. He died by have to be a big talker as long as he shows up on Sunday.
  9. Said he is going to be alright and isn’t a talker. Compares him to Watson who “could play on Sunday” despite not being a talker.

  11. Good call on Warton. He got moved around the OL and never missed a beat.
  12. For example your data starts with Brady winning. Before that dynasty it was more wide open with different teams winning different ways. I don’t think that what they accomplished would be considered any sort of norm for the league (although the Chiefs might be proving me wrong currently). I get what you are saying though. Teams just have to be looking for ways to win outside of finding the next Brady or Mahomes, because that’s just not realistic. That’s like counting on winning the lottery as part of your retirement plans. I would focus more on the other teams that have won and how they accomplished it. Most of those were solid, balanced rosters. One could argue the Patriots had a nice defense helping out Brady keeping games close for him to do his clutch drives. Similar to the Chiefs playoff run. Their defense isn’t getting enough credit either because it was tough in the playoffs.
  13. I understand but whenever you say only this number of recent QB Super Bowl winners it just basically takes out those two QBs/teams with the exception of one or two. You are absolutely accurate, but those dynasties are currently skewing numbers IMO.
  14. We just have to build a solid roster no matter what. Keep building our roster and either Bryce will show us something or we will find another QB. The Super Bowl thing is always going to be skewed because Brady and Mahomes won half of them. Outside of that you have the two mentioned with Peyton and Ben, then you have Nick Foles with the Eagles (loaded roster), a couple of Eli playing clutch with strong defenses putting up 17 points and 21 points. The is no reason that can’t be our future as long and we keep making this roster better each year starting now. Hopefully Morgan and Co can do this.

  16. It could be, but the fact that he felt a need to say it shows he is somewhat aware.
  17. The two signs of hope I kind of see are 1. He hired an outside firm to help make his hires this time. One that has had success doing so for other teams. 2. He said he is staying in the background now. I now people are doubting that but the fact he is actually saying that in public means he is some what aware.
  18. I think someone will offer a trade for him since he was viewed as a high draft pick. I'm not sure it would be anything to get excited about. Probably a later round pick with a possibly contingency on it. Some team will think they can use him "correctly" or develop him at a low cost. I could see him in SF even as a backup at worst. He is from Cali and that offense is kind of made for him.
