He did great in Seattle and Buffalo. I wouldn't write Morgan off yet. I'm sure it's a short leash though (as usual).
-
I think it was a Dan Morgan hire. He worked with Canales a while in Seattle.

https://www.tampabay.com/sports/bucs/2024/01/20/dave-canales-todd-bowles-pete-carroll-chris-simms-chase-edmonds/ Yards may have dipped, but scoring was up 11% after replacing Brady with Baker.
-
Dungy met Canales at a retreat and has been kind of taking him under his wing throughout his career as well.
-
He was the WR coach for Seattle for a while. He helped find/build some of those WR rooms.

I live in Knoxville and Milton just doesn’t have it. He doesn’t seem that competitive and doesn’t like running because he wants to avoid contact (which I understand, but it sets a stagnant tone for the offense). He looks good when everything is working, but one penalty or blown up play and he starts to get flustered. If someone can light a fire in him, he definitely has some raw talent.

11 minutes of what true NFL ownership looks like…. BY A WOMAN!

He did want Fields but our staff went with Horn and extended Darnold… So far he sucks at hiring people but he did hire a firm to try to help with that. -

He did have 4 straight winning seasons in Tennessee.
-
That defense will be top in the league soon…

Matt Rhule’s 1-4 start was in year 3… This is Campbell’s year 3. If Rhule had us tracking and looking like a playoff team in year 3, he would still have a job. It’s really not the same thing. -
Plus the giant paycheck helps!

Agreed, but the point remains the same. We just need to find a younger coordinator with a chip on his shoulder. Plenty of good options available.
-
Irsay meddled with Reich and has quite a history of doing stupid poo. He hired a great coach last offseason. There are plenty of options and Canales has a decent resume. Teams are just chasing BJ and that Shanahan tree right now.
-
It’s honestly a good year to need a coach. There are a lot of solid options.
-
Money talks. If Irsay and McNair were able to land solid candidates, Tepper should be able too as well.
-
You said you hope the GM benches the QB. I think you might need to figure some things out…
-
So you want our GM to overstep and tell the HC who to start/bench? I’m confused….
-
I really don’t think he did. There are a few doom and gloom misery loving people who did, but I really don’t think Linville was one. It was always lacking physical skills and bust/cope comments from him.
-
I don’t believe you ever did. I can’t point to a couple posters who constantly refer to him as a “fugging midget.” Honestly you only refer to his football skills.
-
GMs adjust starting lineups? That’s usually the HC I believe…
-
That’s pretty much how that poster always operates.
-
Well said @LinvilleGorge. We all can debate skill/ performance etc, but yeah taking cheap shots at injuries (especially brain injuries) is pretty low…
-
Oh no… is it the new “cope?”
