  1. Looks like they also released Woods who Brown should be familiar with when he was in LAR.
  2. A QB with over 2000 rushing yards and 25 rushing TDs in college isn't what I would consider "mild scrambling." Teddy had like 1/10th of that against lesser defenses and you want to sit here and act like they are similar in that sense? Sometimes its ok to just say "yeah it was a bad comparison." I like in Knoxville and watched most UT games. They drew up QB runs, mixed in some RPOs, and if Hooker had space he was going to take it. Again I'm not that high on him as a NFL prospect, but he definitely in a different level athletically than Teddy was in college.
  3. I agree. I think it's just hard to project where a QB is going to go in the draft (aside from the top ones), because it's such a premium position that will constantly be over drafted. I'm just still confused by the guy who called Hooker Teddy? So I've heard Stroud and Hooker be compared to Teddy so far this offseason....
  4. and higher than Josh Allen's were in college? So what exactly does that mean?? Is he a stronger Josh Allen because of your random metric you are using? Seems pretty flawed....
  5. What does his injury have to do with anything? ACL injuries happen in practice sometimes. What a pointless comment.... https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2089798-how-and-why-minimal-or-non-contact-injuries-occur-in-nfl-workouts#:~:text=In the case of direct, also plays a significant role. Hooker is a true dual threat QB in college, Teddy was a pocket passer than rarely ran. Comparing them is just random. The fact that you had to pull one year out of his whole career and still came up with only 279 total rushing yards tells the whole story.
  6. If we are planning on waiting until the 2nd to draft him we better have a plan B, because it just takes one team with a high ranking like this to swoop in and draft him.
  7. I think some of these guys don't know enough about Carolina to know Moton exists and is a good RT.
  8. Teddy’s career rushing yards at Louisville were 226 averaging .8 per carry Hooker was 2079 averaging 4 yards a carry. Yeah they seem sooooo similar…..
  9. WTF? I'm not a huge Hooker fan, but the man is a way better athlete than Teddy. Bigger arm, bigger frame, and much better at running.
  10. Yeah but they were moving from lower than 8 so the cost will be less. We will have Fitt and Reich picking their QB which the board seems high on. If the Niners picked Fields or even Mac it could have been very different. They also weren’t crushed from giving up their picks. They are still a very competitive team that could have won it all without the QB injuries just 2 years later.
  11. Reich won a Super Bowl with Foles who was his backup. Wentz was the starter and helped them get there and was putting up a MVP season before he got injured. The Eagles jumped from 8 to 2 to draft Wentz 2nd overall.
  12. Yes it can be fixed. Burrow tore his ACL and MCL his rookie year and looks fine. Watson tore his ACL and came back great. Hell TD tore his what 3 times? I understand the other issues, but he wasn’t going to start week one regardless IMO.
  13. I guess the ACL injury doesn’t bother me if the staff likes him. ACL recovery has come a long way. The system UT runs is my biggest concern with him. I’ve seen several lobs up to wide open WRs where they slow down to adjust during UT games. I’m just saying the injury recovery isn’t as big of an issue as it seems. It just limits what teams can see from it pre-draft.
  14. So when does AR get playing time in the NFL? Week 1? I know we are both ok taking him at 9 who probably isn’t playing right away either. The Chiefs didn’t play Mahomes right away, Rodgers didn’t start right away. I don’t think those teams regretted burning a first on either QB.
  15. I’m just thinking if he can practice throwing with the team for training camp, maybe he can get some real game time midseason which isn’t bad for a rookie QB.
  16. He tore it Nov 19th. So 9 months puts him in August. I wonder if he can throw without contact before then? It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
  17. He probably needs to sit a year anyway, but this link claims he could be ready by training camp. I’m sure we will have a better idea as the draft approaches.
  18. That's a fair question. We would need to have a high rating on all 3 similar to the Niners when they traded up for Lance. It's a double edged sword really because if we wait and see if our top guy drops and he does say another team like ATL gets interested in drafting that same pick at 3 and it turns into a very fast bidding war.
  19. I could see the Saints drafting him with that first they got from Denver for Sean Payton.
  20. I think we move up to 3 and land Stroud/Young/Levis. That probably saves us that 2025 1st.
