  1. Coaches seem to only have 2 years or so (aside from Rhule) to show something. That could explain why they are going all in on the cap each year.
  2. Don’t the Saints still own the rights to Sean Payton? If so there is no chance in hell they let us get him.
  3. Ian didn't play that bad. I know he had a dumb holding call, but I think McAdoo is getting him more involved and might be the reason he got extended.
  4. If they come in unblocked and the first few reads are covered, sometimes taking a sack is the best option...
  5. Yeah last year Sam constantly turned it over or went 3 and out. If they have a short field, they can't get as many yards. Also they spent the last quarter just running the ball to end the game.
  6. Not saying it should have been called, but his helmet looks like it's about to collide with the QB's here. Don't even give the refs an option to make that call in those circumstances.
  7. Lol we will have a great passing defense because teams get a free 7 yards per attempt running it on us. Why would they even attempt a pass?
  8. That’s fair. I know it was an iffy call, but Burns has to understand the situation and let up on that drive. I get that it’s hard to stop once he is pursuing the QB, but he is a captain and has to do better in that situation.
  9. Lol I’ve totally done that before
  10. Is Chubb elite? He looked good his rookie year in 2018, but that’s about it. Another sack by Chubb….
  11. Yeah that was crazy. The ball kind of landed in his hands.
  12. Cross had to catch that fumble after he got beat.
  13. Read that article I posted it was pretty intense. They tried to trade him to the Browns and basically says if you don’t win the Super Bowl you are gone.
  14. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure Gruden’s emails are the reason he is gone. The Raiders recent issues were bad drafting. The HC for the Patriots seems to be ok with his “authoritarian” style. https://www.businessinsider.com/why-49ers-got-rid-of-jim-harbaugh-2014-12?amp The overwhelming consensus is that Harbaugh is leaving because his relationship with the front office — specifically, general manager Trent Baalke and CEO Jed York — fell apart to a point in which he couldn't work there anymore. Damn, on a side note, I didn’t realize they tried to trade him to the Browns. I’d be pissed too!

  16. I would find it hard to believe a load of players hate the guts of the coach that is consistently getting them into the NFC championship game. He took a struggling team and immediately made them better. I’m sure some there were some players there for paychecks and were chewed out got their feelings hurt. I’ve read about the power struggle and you have read about players. Why would a team fire a coach in the middle of a season after he just took their franchise to the NFC Championship game 3 years in a row. That sounds like a power struggle to me.
  17. 11 points in the 4th vs 17? I’ll take the extra scoring drive and perfect rating every time.
  18. 2011- what was a rebuild year- 13-3 and a NFC Championship loss to the Giants (who won it all) He revived Alex Smith's career 2012- 11-4-1 back to back NFCW titles and a Super Bowl loss by 3 points to his brother 2013- 12-4 3rd consecutive NFC Championship game and a loss by 6 to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks BUT the season you are talking about is the ONE season he didn't make the playoffs in 2014. They wanted to fire him before the season was over because of a power struggle with him and GM Trent Baalke. They were still 8-8 Oh and once they replaced him they didn't have another winning season until 2019.... They finished 5-11 in 2015 and fired they new coach after 1 year. Sounds like they were having some GM issues to me. So you are assuming he wouldn't keep being successful because he had one year where he went 8-8???? Hell that would be the most successful 4 years of our franchise. His success after 4 years is pure speculation at this point.
  19. He got in rhythm in the 4 quarter when the game was on the line and was pretty near perfect. We all knew there was going to be some rust with a new scheme, getting traded late, and Rhule playing musical OL while having a QB competition. I've seen plenty of great QBs play sloppy early, but come alive late in a game. He got us the lead with just over a minute left. Rhule wanted the FG instead of trying for the TD and our defense couldn't get one stop in the last minute. When was the last time we had a QB play this well in the 4th? It's something to build on for sure.
  20. He missed open throws and our new OL missed blocks it's all part of the game. The "should have" recap is pretty meaningless. Gameplans usually change throughout the game based on what has happened so to go back and say something should have happened earlier in the game and assume everything else stays the same is meaningless.
  21. They despised him all the way to the Super Bowl. I'll take it!
  22. Jim Harbaugh with a young QB from this 23 class would be awesome! Flores would be a nice one as well.
