What Bryce lacks in elite arm strength he makes up with being able to throw from multiple angles and off platform throws. Sometimes people don’t realize that’s just as important. But there is nothing about his arm strength that gives me pause he cleared that up last year
-
Fair enough I don’t know that I would be disappointed necessarily it all depends on the overall status of the team, defense, etc. I would be disappointed with anything less than 20-25 TDs and 3.500 yards in 17 games

I’ve said this before, in retrospect I consider 2024 his true rookie year. When I judge it from that standpoint there’s a lot to be encouraged and excited about. He wasn’t a top 10 QB in that timeframe but he definitely looked like a legitimate starting QB with upside potential. I do expect top 10 numbers this year.

He strikes again

My bad totally misread that. That works in the most obvious situations

Great point, sorry mixed you up with the Aggie dude haha

I think Bryce can sneak it too, but we weren't competing for the playoffs so not sure it was ever worth the injury risk??? With playoffs or division on the line, it should be on the table. Bryce is athletic, he's quick and agile, the QB sneak is not all about power or size. But the larger point is that people will always be fixated on what he "can't do" vs. what he does bring to the table. I just think the goal posts are constantly moving. At least it was the concern about batted down passes, then the long ball, now the QB sneak. I guess we'll get past it all eventually when we win some games.
-
I respect that - most fans want him to succeed and I think he will. They just need to be able to handle the ups and downs without losing their minds. There will still be some stinker games sprinkled in.
-
Nah I genuinely never cared about QB sneaks. I don’t see it as a disadvantage anymore than it was for Brees or Wilson. I would much rather hand it off or have run a QB bootleg
-
Well he averaged 226 last 7 games so he’s trending in that direction. 230 average is attainable especially with more weapons now
-
If you’re pass happy it’s most likely because you’re always down by a score or two
-
No I loved Cam but he had his own weaknesses, over reliance on arm strength and not throwing with anticipation.
-
Oh boy - Trump will have fun with this one

I could give AF about a QB sneak. Plenty of QBs also couldn't scramble the way that Bryce can, you work with what you have.
-
We just did something about the D, did you miss the free agency and the draft?
-
Cool let’s make it 5 attempts less (555), happy now? Lol
-
Being a run dominant team, it limits passing attempts per game to mid 30s and I think that will be about 220 yds per game
-
Fair take, I feel more confident on his passing TDs than the passing yards. I think he will be seeing some shorter fields due to an improved defense. I think the passing percentage is a reflection of taking more shots downfield
-
He had 6 rushing TDs last year! I actually project those to be on the lower side in 2025 due to having better passing options in the red zone
-
• Passing: 360/560 (64.3%), 3,900 yards, 26 TDs, 8 INTs • Rushing: 320 yards, 5 TDs • Passer Rating: 94.5 • Team Record: 8-9

I honestly think XL will step up this year. Drafting another WR will be great for competition and I think his best days are ahead -
Excellent callout

I find it funny those who continue to hate on Bryce based on his rookie year when he had zero weapons or offensive line have a problem with those of us projecting his career from the 8-9 games where he played like a top 10 QB and made more big time throws during that period than any other QB. The stats may not have been there in terms of yards or TD passes but that’s coming as the roster improves. For those who think physical traits can overcome roster deficiencies we all witnessed how Mahomes looked under pressure that Bryce faced for most of his rookie year, we saw what happened with Stroud when he faced less than ideal circumstances. None of us were creating posts proclaiming Bryce as the next Brady but we can’t just sit idly while thread after thread is created continuing with the anti Bryce tropes instead of supporting him and just letting him continue to develop.

Bryce will only keep getting better. Purdy has already reached his ceiling in Shannahan’s offense, it will be laughable to compare them 15 years from now when they have retired. Bryce may never win the MVP due to a bias for physical traits but I believe he will have a better overall career than Cam when it’s all said and done. Yes I said it
