Tepper is learning… I like this version of him
PleaseCutStewart replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't know... How could you not enjoy the version of him that tosses beers on an opposing team's fans... -
If we win at NO and the home game against Tampa, I say we rest our starters and do 2 weeks of prep for Tampa (and just ignore watching film on Seattle). Extra plus out of that is not giving Seattle any meaningful tape if we meet them in the playoffs. That being said, 1) we probably don't win both those games with how Jekyll & Hyde we are, and 2) I doubt DC rests our starters

Cool, keep us at 1 pm and keep us far away from national primetime games. Don't need another Bryce primetime debacle like the 49ers game.

Tampa starting LG goes to IR.

Say what you want, those turnovers weren't flukes though. Great read by Jackson on the pick 6 and great individual plays by DB on the batted ball INT and strip sack. The Rams are good enough to consistently move that ball against the very best defenses, so of course they are going to be able to move the ball at will with over half of our defense being backups to the backups... And our offense played a great game. The Packers game was definitely a GB shooting themselves in the foot type of loss for them. I don't think the Rams game was the same - we executed well on offense and came up with the timely turnovers we needed on defense. -
Is this the best timed ‘bye’ we’ve ever had

Dollars.. can't have that little amount of games for they stretch -
Pretty sure the eagles win this game by double digits if they just ran the ball every down. I have no idea why they keep throwing the ball when Barkley is getting like 10 yards a carry

Definitely a helpful one to have. I still think the ideal time to have a bye week is usually the latter end of mid season (like week 11-12). Definitely better than our usual bye week of the first week or two possible for a bye week... -
Pretty weak holding call there
-
Did you watch the bears run for like 300 yards against them last week?
-
My god Hurts is ass. Dude somehow got an INT and a fumble lost on the same play
-
Lol, when I heard his name, I was like "I remember when that bum was a turnstile for us"
-
If the eagles keep losing, we could somehow end up with the 3 seed if we somehow play well the last month of the year
-
Ummm... No. When this guy's highlight for the year is doing a stop drop and roll to avoid 12 guys on the field, you are having an awful season...
-
so yea... the um Saints.... how do we beat them this time?
PleaseCutStewart replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Offense: 1) throw the ball on 1st down early in the game 2) throw the ball deep every now and then 3) use the pass to make NO not have 9 in the box, then run the ball Defense: 1) stop the run 2) take away the seams and dump offs to the flats 3) force a couple of turnovers -
Go after Shedeur this offseason.

Revamp the QB room, yes! Trade for shadeur, heeelllll no -
Welcome to trash mountain! ... I mean the NFC South

Don't think it matters who would have won because I doubt we get a wild card. Theoretically, I think it's better the Lions won because the cowboys remaining schedule is very easy
-
At this point, might need to give up on Freddie and just roll with Bussi and Kucci
-
Likely unsustainable. Granted - half of our defense + all of our wideouts are making little money, so it makes it easier to extend Icky now. By the time we need to extend our current rookies/2nd years, most of our oline's contracts will be done or will be on their last year (should be a good cap savings cut if need be). I think they were smart with the 2 year extension to Moton - I doubt they keep him afterwards unless it's on the cheap. That gives us a chance to draft a lineman and develop them if we want.

Dane Brugler’s panthers mock pick
PleaseCutStewart replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'll be surprised if Simpson falls that low. I think teams will like how quick he gets rid of the ball. There are enough QB desperate teams in the top 12 between Cleveland, Raiders, Jets, possibly Rams (Stafford is up there in age), and possibly the Vikings if they think JJ is Jamarcus Russell 2.0 -
Maybe Bryce is playing the long con where he intentionally looks like ass 3/4 of the game and then when teams expect him to continue to be bad, he actually plays halfway decent and manages to lead the 4th Q comeback drive TD

Dream scenario for ending out the season
PleaseCutStewart replied to cranky's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think us being at home vs the road makes any bit of difference. We just saw them only call 1 penalty on the Rams Sunday - and if it wasn't a penalty that couldn't go uncalled (delay of game), they likely would have had 0. And crazy enough, Rams fans were blaming the refs for losing to us
