I trust Canalas. He had a reason to let him go if he wanted to, but knows the man behind the scenes, and knows he’s a good DC. People have become too knee jerk with this team. Constancy is what we desperately need, and by the end of the season, I couldn’t event name you 5 starting players on our defense once horn and Jewel were out.

He will go to the Bills
-
Nope. See are middle of the pack on cap and he will not help build the roster. Also seems like he would not be a leader needed right now on a team likely to not make the playoffs next season. Wasted cap for a team who needs almost every position replaced on defense

He’s going up like a rocket. Pointless to compare that disaster last year to where he is now. 275 total yards, 5 TDs, 123.5 passer rating, Major Swag, multiple clutch and big time throws…..that’s the only recap we need today.

Do you think we have a top 10 QB now?

He’s making big time throws in clutch situations. -

And next season will be the start of his second year in this offense.

If you want this team to lose today you will always be a loser

This thread is a good summary of our season. -
This is the easiest decision in the world to pick up the 5th year option. Left tackles don’t grow on trees. You accept the option, and you pay the man after that. He’s been above solid/shown flashes of greatness and is only 25 years old. He’s only going to keep growing. He’s been improving while being in 4 different offenses during his career. Next year will be the first time in his NFL career that he’s going to have the same offensive playbook to go by, and we as fans often overlook this. Imagine learning a new language every season coming into the league in one of the hardest positions to be in.

Signing WR Godwin from the Bucs, Drafting WR McMillan or TE Colston Loveland, draft best Center in round 2, and sign this man in FA to help set up our many draft picks round 3 and below that will be spend on defense: 30. DI OSA ODIGHIZUWA, DALLAS COWBOYS Odighizuwa is another interior pass-rusher with very strong underlying metrics that haven’t quite translated to major sack production through nearly four seasons. While the Dallas Cowboys' season has fallen off the rails as injuries have piled up, Odighizuwa has stayed the course and played some of the best ball of his career over the second half of the campaign. The 2021 third-round pick is quietly one of the more underrated defenders across the entire NFL.

HOT TAKE: Go Offense this offseason again.
WarPanthers89 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
lol I’m not mad if we go defense early in the draft and understand it’s a huge, massive need. Ray Charles can see that. I’m just saying getting weapons for Bryce to evaluate him on being a franchise guy is a higher priority. Being that we are more than one offseason away from building this roster, I’m saying I don’t mind waiting until the following offseason to focus heavy on that side of the ball. 3/4 of the players on defense today are not our starters. -

Okay so say we drafted McMillan. Same thing. Our defense is absolutely decimated with injuries this game and has been most of the season. The team won’t be rebuilt in one offseason, and you have to figure out if Bryce is franchise level or not. You can’t do that with Thielen as our best receiver. -

See ya later. Dude held out this offseason

HOT TAKE: Go Offense this offseason again.
WarPanthers89 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree it’s not likely. This is just a Discussion on the topic of going Offense heavy again in the offseason. Seeing of Bryce can be the franchise guy has to be the biggest priority. We don’t have enough weapons to fairly evaluate him this season. He has shown great improvement and will be going into year 2 in this system. We can’t go into next season with Adam T as our number 1 threat again. -

I won’t be mad at a Defensive pick. I just keep dreaming of a Greg Olsen type TE to pair with Young along with some speed out wide like Godwin. The most important thing in year 3 should be seeing if Bryce can be the long term answer. This team won’t be fixed in one offseason, and I wouldn’t be furious if we went heavy on offense this offseason again.
