  1. Any good massage parlors around BOA? Asking for a dude with connections to the Browns who wants to remain anonymous.
  2. Consensus is trending on Jalon Walker as our pick for #8
  3. YES! If we miss out on Tet in round one, this could be our dude. The only thing is he would have to picked in the second round. You KNOW our track record with second round WRs--outside of Moose (in the 90's).
  4. We don't DRAFT Clemson guys, we occasionally will sign a free agent from there. Just last season DeShawn Williams was on the team. Ray-Ray McCloud had a cup of coffee with the Panthers a few years ago.
  5. Either of the Iowa State guys I'd be happy with, Noel or Higgins. Noel is projected as a slot guy, Higgins on the outside. Depends on what he team values more.
  6. Did someone take a pay cut or get restructured? Somehow we went from $13M before Moore and Scott signing to both of them now are on the books and somehow we are at $17M. Huh? BTW, they got paid the same money, just under $1.2M each.
  7. Strictly the Raiders blocking TE, to take the wear and tear off of their top two studs.
  8. Wanted Ian here? Not exactly, but some thought he was a steal at the top of the 4th round. See if this sounds familiar? Tall, athletic, big build, but a raw prospect that needs to be coached up reach the potential he didn't achieve in college. He was meant to be a Panther...it was written in the stars. So much so, they couldn't part ways with him until it was absolutely certain he couldn't be anything more than a TE3.
  9. Scott and Moore made about $1.3M and 1.1M respectively on last year's 1-year deals. I doubt they are looking to make less. So assuming their deals are roughly the same we are going to be nearly $1.5M over the cap when accounting for the rookie pool. With us looking to sign another starting caliber safety, some maneuvering needs to occur. Blackmon stayed in Indy last year on a 1-year deal for $3.7M. He's looking for a bump, obviously. He's not getting Moehrig type of money. He'll be S2, not S1 being paid so accordingly, therefore I'd say $5-$7M per season. That said, we need to clear up somewhere along the lines of $5M-$8M. Remember, have to factor in the rookie pool.
  10. If we sign one of these two, we have a pair of starters at safety and won't be forced into drafting a S early in the draft to fill an immediate need.
  11. I don't think that $13.8M includes the Moore or Soctt contracts and when I checked our rookie salary pool it was projected at $12.7M. So yeah, barring any further cuts or restructures, we are tapped out.
  12. I hit every need, overall a very solid draft I would be happy with. The only thing were some targeted players were already gone and some positions I wish I could have taken higher like the last two picks, Edge and TE.
  13. Safety was the thinnest spot on the roster. Makes sense for S depth and STs. It's a two-fer roster plug on a one-year deal.
  14. This actually makes the most sense for them, especially if they draft rookie QB. Everyone knows this is weak QB class and neither Ward nor Sanders are Day1 starters.
  15. Didn't get ILB, but that's about it.
  16. It wouldn't shock me to see a couple more FAs signed later on as their market plummets, especially WR and Safety like a Keenan Allen and Julian Blackmon. Allen would be a 1-2 year rental and Blackmon is still young. I liked Blackmon coming out of college; he just seems to be dinged up a lot. Nothing serious, but misses a couple of games just about every year.
  17. Got to get a WR, CB, Safety and Edge in the draft. I would like to get a TE and RB, but those are somewhat luxury picks and while needed, aren't priority. Probably could double dip on WR and safety later in the draft, if not find a couple of priority UDFA after the draft like we did with Coker last year. I know the Panthers site has these DLs listed as DTs for the most part, but I assume one or more of them will be an end. I'm not too worried about depth there. ILB is the last upgrade I would consider behind all the others.
  18. Okay, Morgan is making moves I agree with. I'm cool with that.
  19. The wife died of a rare virus upon autopsy and Gene was in the final stages of dementia. So she died, the dog was crated and Gene didn't know what was going on and probably died of dehydration/starvation after wandering around the house for week or so with his wife's corpse in the bathroom. Very sad.
  20. I think Wharton will be used as a DE and Jones an OLB.
