Red zone woes did you guys in. You could move the ball, but not seal the deal when it counted. Teams can overcome a turnover or two, but you can't generally win relying largely on FGs.

Oh yeah, I remember all too well. Height isn't his only issue, a weak arm and inability to run inside due to his slightness as well. I bet we don't have the tush push in our playbook, or any variation of a short yardage QB keeper...which is absurd.
-
Look, Tua let the cat out of the bag a few weeks ago when he said that short QBs CAN'T see down field without clear passing lanes. This is from a slightly taller NFL QB than Bryce. If short QBs have to step up in the pocket or it gets murky, they have to depend on timing/play design and hope the WR is where the should be when they pass the ball. Point being, why should we have to limit our offense to compensate for the deficiencies of the QB, especially going forward beyond this season? it is what it is for now, the staff will work with and scheme around Bryce. Going forward it seems like malpractice to say: "this dude, with all his limitations, is the guy to get us to a Super Bowl." Complete and utter insanity.
-
The dude has one, EXACTLY ONE convincing win in his entire career. That would be Atlanta earlier this season. As anyone who knows stats would say, there's always going to be an outlier data point. How anyone can say they are still undecided on Bryce is either being disingenuous or a homer. People are either stans or sellers of Bryce at this point. Fence riders just don't want to be on the wrong side of the debate, they have their minds made up, but choose not to divulge it and are simply playing coy.

I predicted 7 wins likely, 9 tops, at the start of the season. Man it was looking rough for a minute, like not even sniffing 7 wins.

Why do people think Bryce Young won this game yesterday?

Bryce didn't commit too many errors to enable the Packers win. There, that's the best way to look at it. But damn, if that is our threshold of success for our starting QB, then woo-boy... -

What is the same, tired pattern here? Vintage lil' Brycey... short passes to the middle of the field. Nothing deep, except the pick, horrible on the sidelines unless it's under 10 yards. Folks this isn't rocket science, he's not a legit starting NFL QB. -

Who normally posts his passing chart on Mondays? Can you please post it? This should be fun... -
Bryce is not an NFL starter. On the other hand, we are not going to be close enough to the top of the draft to take a QB in what is looking like a dwindling QB class. Injuries, lackluster seasons, too many underclassmen along with NIL is making the '26 QB class thin out quickly with many of the top guys returning to school. #Trey Lance

We could have won this game with Rico in the wildcat, all other factors staying the same. -
Bryce has exactly TWO wins in he career where the FG kicker didn't finish off the game for the victory. Why is this not disturbing? So we take the L outright or hope he can get us close enough for the FG kicker to win the game because he can't close the deal any earlier or put the game away himself in the closing moments. That Atlanta game earlier this year gave too many Bryce stans rejuvenated hope. For the rest of us, it was an clear and obvious fluke.

I mean he did only have one INT, one fumble that was picked up by Hubbard for a nice gain and one sack for no yardage lost. That 's not too shabby, right?
-
Canales didn't out-coach himself, that's the main takeaway here. Gameplan: Hand the ball to Rico.

Hmmm.....even the GIF didn't tip off the sarcasm? Merely dropping off some receipts dude.

3:12 and 3:46. You what they say, there is truth in humor. -
Move him to guard.
-
Oh, you know, I have higher expectations for this team long term. Like you, day dreaming about this team's potential with a real QB is apparently a thought crime.
-
Yup, which is comparable to going the length of the field just once in an entire game. Stellar!
-
So we aren't as horrible as everyone else thinks we are? I mean, the stat did say underdog in EVERY game.
-
I still think it's an oddity to credit the QB with a win when the FG kicker puts up the winning points. For fun sake, re-run those numbers were Young scored the winning points, not the FG kicker I know what it is and...whoo-boy is it U-G-L-Y!

Forest, trees...you know the analogy. We can be happy with a win, but not satisfied with the outlook. Some people can't see beyond the here and now. What happens if Rico gets hurt? Oh damn, there goes our entire offense. How crazy is that? How crazy is it folks are so narrow-sited that that fail to understand our entire offense flows though a FA RB? Sure, people can celebrate today. Go for it, have a blast! However when it comes time for this team to call on an actual passing attack and it falls flat, these same folks need to sit on the sidelines because I don't want to hear a peep out of them. -

Final stats. Dowdle had 28 more yards, a tenth more per average and 2 tuddys to Bryce's goose egg. Oh, let's not forget zero turnovers to Bryce's 1. When the RB is stat dunking all over our supposed franchise QB, there needs to be a change. -

Hey, the Packers choked and I'll take it.
