    I don’t think there is much debate at this point. There are 2nd and 3rd stringers way better than him. Jacoby Brissett and Tyrod Taylor would have flat-out beat him out in training camp. Nevermind a bunch of rookies we could have had. Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold balling today on real teams.

    This 100%. If you don’t have the fanbase you likely don’t have the locker room either. Just let Bryce be the backup for a few games and hopefully learn from Dalton. What risk is there at this point?

    I want to watch Panthers football and have some hope for the season. Start the proven vet and let Bryce learn from the sidelines. It's not about playing to lose for the #1 pick, we have to evaluate the players that we have. Start Dalton. Pretty likely Bryce will still see the field even as a backup. Sometimes that’s what it takes for things to click.

    I said all off-season we should have gone after a vet for him to legit compete with. Jacoby Brisette, Tyrod Taylor, Gardner Minshew were all available. We’d at least have a shade of hope as fans right now.

    Helped a my brother with his Fantasy Football draft yesterday. Kinda depressing seeing CMC #1 overall, DJ Moore top-50, and then flipping 4 more pages until the first Panther showed up.

    Hall of Fame QB’s don’t need preseason practice. i.e. Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Bryce Young, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, etc.

    This franchise needs to take a serious look in the mirror and understand that the fans are losing interest by the day. Losing sucks but if we refuse to even COMPETE, we’re going into uncharted waters. At least play your starters for a minute in preseason, everyone else is.

    Started slow. Watch his 2nd quarter drives. Not all about stats too. He had a helluva TD strike called back where the receiver had his foot on the line.

    Caleb Williams not only playing in the preseason. Playing the entire 1st half. Not only playing, putting on a show. Not only putting on a show, making Mahomes-like plays right now in the 2nd quarter. Wow. Also playing their starting WR’s.

    Barely dodged that bulllet. He did next to nothing for OKC in their deep playoff run. His list of injuries throughout his career is insane. Happy Trails.
