  1. Despite the weak package, i actually think him meeting with the Browns is more bc if the Texans interest than his. As dumb as the McNairs are, I could see them thinking Baker gets them where they want to be a lot quicker and he's a Texas guy, so they might think he could help them rebound quickly with fans and sales. I just don't see why Deshaun would be all that interested despite the good structure in place. It probably is the best team top to bottom on both sides of the ball with the best coach, or at least known quantity in a coach, out of the 3 teams we know of... but, at the end of the day, it's Cleveland.
  2. Whoa! The Watson Saga even brought CatMan72 out of the shadows!
  3. "Well, if you dont... LET ME REINTRO--- wa, wait... was it 'let me' or 'allow me,' Deshaun? Can I call you Deshaun?"
  4. Damn that would be devastating. And to think, we could've just used it for Khalil Mack instead.
  5. The local guys had been saying we were looking to add a safety once FA started regardless of the Watson situation. My guess was more of a ballhawk-type guy so Chinn could go back to SS and play more in the box. So, I'm not sure how to take that signing being that no one is safe apparently.
  6. Yeah he's full of poo. Looked at his page and he doesn't appear to be affiliated with KC in any way. Radio show seems to be independent/small-time. That would be like Joe Ovies or Adam Gold from the Raleigh stations here saying they heard something about another NFL team/player. And when is the last three way trade we've seen in the NFL? And Brady announced he was coming back just for the Bucs to try to trade him? Yeah, ok.
  7. That why I'm asking him, otherwise, he's definitely pushing up on that line.
  8. Then who are we giving up in the trade? Otherwise, anyone can say anything on the internet and if it sticks they get to say they're right. And in this case, you have a 50% chance.
  9. I agree. It just doesn't make sense for them... that being said, fug them. If Watson narrows it down to just us, and thats clear between both us and HOU, the price may come down a bit. Also, after we acquire Watson, we should sign Armstead as @TheCasillassuggested earlier, just to further their cap hell for fuging with us on this deal.
  10. Saw it debunked multiple times by verified guys earlier. I think one may have been their beat writer. He said they never even discussed an offer... but I do think Wilson is somewhere between trash and average. He the modern day Rick Mirer.
  11. Browns are playing with fire. As Sheena said, its likely HOU blocks all AFC teams from talking with him, and they still have Baker there. I dont blame them, but just doesn't seem like a smart thing to do. They may end up causing themselves more problems. As a side note though, I wonder if something has changed though bc last season, they supposedly did at least entertain offers from MIA. So maybe they only are deny requests within their division, but not the AFC as a whole?
  12. I also think "Yippee Ki Yay, motherfuger" originated in Texas. Must've been him.
  13. Yeah, was thinking the same thing. Every tweet has been pro-Aints or shitting on us, or both. They're clearly using him as a mouthpiece. When the LV odds turned back in our favor and for the balance of the day where everything has been about us and him, he still did not once put us as the favored team or frontrunner. He just tweeted out generic, already-known info.
  14. Was thinking something similar earlier. My first walk down bourbon st was mind blowing. and I'm from Fayetteville, so thats saying something.
  15. I think Aaron Wilson has a very close source in NO. Not necessarily reliable, but close.
  16. Slippery slope, because he can say he isn't refusing to play, but then play half-assed. Or that he never refused to play and they suspended him anyway, where then the NFLPA would get involved. I just don't think that either scenario is in the Texans best interest.
  17. Dammit. We're pigeonholing ourselves again. They better get Norwell.
  18. They really don't have much of a choice. He has almost all of the leverage. Sure, they could just threaten to sit him another year, but he's hamstringing them still because that's just a ton of deadcap getting eaten up for a player that isn't even active. If we woo him and he says this is where he wants to go, they will have to acquiesce. I'm also hoping the same kind of magic that Pat Stewart pulled off with his former peers in NE with thr Gilmore trade will kick in with Caserio here, and we'll be able to get a little bit of a discount compared to what's been reported.
  19. Christian Kirk signs with Jags for 4 years/84M. Yikes.
