I think thats a pretty safe bet. If Tepper becomes a repeat offender for stuff like this expect the punishment to go beyond a fine. Pretty sure thats in the conduct policy somewhere.

Out of the list in the OP I would be most excited about Hortiz. Don't know anything about him, but the Baltimore Ravens are one of the better run front offices in the league since they moved from Cleveland. Hard no on the Bears. Peters from the 49ers would probably be a good bet but it doesn't sound like he's leaving.

I don't really understand why we reached on this guy and DJ Johnson instead of trading back up into the late 1st to take a guy like Zay Flowers. There were some good receivers on the board still, but we waited until they were gone to go after Mingo.

Marty Hurney sucks. But the saddest part is, we could literally upgrade by re-hiring him as GM and Ron Rivera as HC lmao. How far we have fallen.

Yea lets promote Fitterer. The guy who has been the worst GM in team history and likely stabbed Reich and others in the back to save his own skin. Sounds like someone a new GM and coach would want in the office.

Mediocrity is not as bad as it gets. You should know that from the past 6 years lol. We haven't had sustained success, but the team has definitely had some bright spots in its relatively short life. You can take that for granted if you want to, but the next franchise could easily be the Charlotte Bobcats with no success ever.

I mean come on dude. The last 6 years have been bad, but 17 playoff games, including 2 Super Bowl appearances and a league MVP? You can do a lot worse.

The real punishment is broadcasting to the rest of the league that not only is he incompetent at running a team, he’s unable to function as an adult in public.

It really makes you wonder how he found any success in business when he can’t even conduct himself in public. Probably insider trading.

Fitterer's first draft was very different to Hurney's last one. The amount of trades was completely absurd. To act like Fitterer had no say in it goes against the evidence of what actually happened.

It’s not that everything is Bryce’s fault. I don’t think many people are making that claim. It’s that he hasn’t shown any potential of being a good QB in the league. Yes, the team is garbage. He could use better receivers and a better offensive line. But every single play is not some unwinnable situation where he can’t do anything. Bryce flashes moments of NFL competence. They are not franchise QB type flashes. Yes he has made some good throws. But you would be hard pressed to find other QBs in the NFL that cannot do that. We have had some real garbage level QB play the last few years and almost all of them have had their moments.

Tepper has no patience after he’s made up his mind on someone and has awful timing on firing people. It sucks but it’s looking like Fitterer is probably back next year. He hung on to Hurney and Rhule for too long. He’ll do it again. If he was out on Fitterer he would have already fired him with Frank.

This is honestly a tough one for me. Tepper is trash but the Panthers have been my team since I was a kid. It would be tough to have the same kind of attachment to a newer team for me. It was never the same for me after the Hornets left Charlotte.

He’s gonna have to field at least a mediocre team to even try to pull that move.
