I mean I don't really harbor any ill will against him. We kinda put ourselves in this situation by talking him out of retirement. He looked like he hated football at times last year and the year before. I just wouldn't run defense for him in the media. Just say I'm not gonna comment on that, we wish Adam Theilen the best and thank him for all his contributions. He clearly wanted out.

Helps when you start at 250

Plus the spectacles are awesome. I'd love it if we drafted him. -
Something something publicity is good publicity.

Its just bad luck. Par for the course for us unfortunately.

Probably because it fugging hurts all of a sudden and you need an appendectomy. Typically not a planned operation.

He's basically live streaming his family's celebration over it. There's coach speak and then there's just straight up dishonesty. Why even comment on it?

Severe UC is no joke. I was hospitalized for an extended period with it, and it took about 18 months to recover my muscle mass. Lost about 70 lbs. Had to start over as a bag of bones.

Yeah I don't personally have much faith in this regime, but we can't reset every season. It's a tough call with the Frank Reich fug up. -
A Canes man? A Braves man? And an ass man? You are a true man of culture.

Potential candidates need to believe they will get a fair shake if they take the job. -

Agreed. I'm not sure where people are getting the idea that Dan and Dave are getting a restart button if this year crashes and burns. Should they? Maybe just to rebuild the reputation of the org, depending on how bad it really is. But all indications are Tepper throws them out of a helicopter before any of that. Alright now who wants the job next? -

Hooker is a good PS pickup. Maybe DC can fix him. -
Long term, I don't hate it. It's mostly about timing. Our QB is about to enter his 3rd year and we're selling off the best proven WR we have right before the season starts. We can't even use the saved salary on anything else to improve the team for this year. Long term moves are good, but was this really the right timing? We'll see.

That's the easiest way to get generational wealth though? -
Ok you win

No good deed goes unpunished. We should have let him retire. We lose out on the pick but we would have had some extra spending money in the offseason.
-
Something changed in between when he signed the deal for this year and the present. I don't think it's a huge leap of faith to say he's not particularly excited about this season for the Panthers.

It's just a question to try and get you to think about value to yourself (A) vs value to the marketplace (B). And if A > B then you don't sell.

Your avatar, sir.

We got strong armed and bamboozled. Convinced the guy to come back for one more ride and he pulled a gun out and demanded a trade to Minnesota right before week 1.
-
The point is that he is far more valuable for the Panthers than he is to almost every other team. The market price does not reflect his potential production this year for us.

Let's say you have 1 car. It has a bunch of miles but it still runs. Its not worth much but you need a car to get to work, go to the grocery store, etc. Someone offers you 200 dollars for the car, which is more than anyone else will offer you. Is that then a deal you would take?
