Panthers will keep Jonathon Brooks on NFI list

Gonna be funny if he pops and everyone is on board with the pick retroactively. Myself included lol. -

Yea it just seems like some teams can do it forever with no problems, because of the expanding cap. Just kick that thing lol. -
Maybe if they get Taylor swift in the booth lol

What's the issue with kicking the can? It seems like you can do it forever. -
If he doesn't wanna do it anymore, they won't want him to do it anymore. Brady will get some money out of that contract if they part ways. I guarantee it.

The context is Dan Morgan said it's a big man's league when talking about all the acquisitions he made. We know the draft is over. This will be discussed until it's completely over, one way or another. This isn't the type of move that fans are just gonna forget about 1 year later like it never happened. You can be a fan of the team, and be optimistic and hope the best for Bryce this year. But that doesn't change the fact that our team made one of the biggest trades ever. -

They need a body because Aiyuk isn't practicing and might hold out or be traded. They liked TMJ coming out but they also liked Trey Lance. Coaches always think they have the special sauce to mold players into what they can be. And they should think that. It's confidence. -

The unanimous decision thing is just PR speak. I don't think there are many unanimous decisions in NFL front offices. GM's take the input of everyone involved and make the decision they think right. There's nothing good that comes out of saying "Well we weren't really sold on Bryce but at the end of the day, that's who we picked" lol. What does that do besides hurt his confidence and make us look stupid? -

I definitely agree with him thinking Bryce == Russ. I'm just not quite sure how they got there. Was he sold on the beginning or after talking it over with Tepper and the coaches? At the end of the day, it's just speculation. I just find it odd that the RAS squad is gonna draft such an undersized guy at 1 overall. -

Think about it this way too. Nobody was willing to give even a 7th round 2026 draft choice for him. Not even the 49ers. Nobody was willing to claim him on waivers. Not even the 49ers. -

It's been brought up in other threads, but the amount of receivers that finally figure it out in year 4 is almost nonexistent. This a 2nd round guy that hasn't done a thing, probably isn't a culture fit (the ball throw thing as an example), and can't play special teams. I don't think he'll be in the NFL in 2-3 years. -

I don't buy it. It doesn't fit his MO at all. I think he and Tepper sold themselves on it that it was the right pick after discussing it though. -

I think Reich and his faction of coaches wanted Stroud, Fitterer and Morgan wanted AR, and Tepper wanted Bryce. As a compromise, I think Fitterer and Tepper sold themselves on Bryce having all the intangibles and being our Russell Wilson. That's what I think went down. -

We might suck and maybe Morgan isn't the right guy to be GM, but I don't know what you guys are expecting on setting expectations. Managing expectations is pretty damn important. -

AR fits the Fitterer/Morgan archetype. RAS score, all potential that will probably never be realized. -

There's plenty of things to criticize this team about, but keeping actual NFL level WR's over a guy that can't play isn't one of them. -

Just drop all the re- words and say we're building a team here. What's the big deal? We're not starting over at QB this year. It's a dumb question tbh. -

Reads to me like they don't wanna put a public win target on the year. I don't blame them. -
