  1. IMO we need to see Ickys year 4 and make a decision before handing out an ext for him. And I okay now with the tmac pick as it is going to help make a decision on BY one way or another but damn I would have been really happy drafting that beast membou which sounds like would have been in cards if he was there. Which in turns gives me a little more hope for morgan.
  2. yep it hinders or alters your offense when you cross the 50 yard line and knowing you have to get 20ish more yards at least to put you in FG range. I suspect you call plays a bit differently as well.
  3. His leg is too weak and its a liability for the offense. Not even having the option to kick a 50ish yard FG throttles down the offense.
  4. I truly wonder what the massive offer Morgan made was. Because 18 spots is a ton. I can assume the rams offered next years first but this years draft was light with their picks so that probably tipped the scale. But man having multiple firsts is a fun fantasy to have in this rebuild. But I bet we will never know
  5. To be fair Rice looked like an absolute star at wr from about week 11 of 23 until he got hurt this year. Thats a bummer
  6. He had close to 2000 yards and 15 yds. Robinson is a beast
  7. He will be 32 oct of next year. And the choice as of now is play him at this current contract for this season, see how he plays and then decide to opt out, restructure or keep playing on the existing deal. I see only 1 of those options viable, opt out after 2025 no matter how he plays and then try and resign him. But by all accounts he is a headcase currently eye balling his 5th team. Why would he want to come here initially and why would he resign here if we opted out of his deal?
  8. In your scenario for all this to work is for him to not only play like a top 10ish corner and assuming he would redo his original deal if we didnt want to out right cut him. Yeah man I dont think extending a 32 year old corner is in our cards especially when the average age of a nfl corner is 27. That just doesnt make sense no matter how well one thinks he is playing. All in all like you say its all assumptions and hypotheticals but I really dont see morgan doing this after everything he has said and done about bad contracts
  9. So under that scenario the panthers would void the deal after 2025 season and he could simply walk. Seems like a pricey gamble for a 4rth or 5th round pick. And thats not even considering we cant afford him status quo.
  10. He turns 31 in Oct. He has an out after this season. If he stays on his current contract its at 25 million per and he would turn 32 during that season You dont pay 32 year old corners 25 million dollars. So in all likelihood its a one year rental.
  11. I mean he played half the season, so your mileage may vary on touting how much he actually contributed.
  12. Moton aint getting restructured, yall need to let this go. And I really dont see any value adding a declining player with a huge cap hit that we would probably cut after the season. Not sure why we would restructure a huge deal for a 32 year old corner. It just doesnt make sense. Morgan has been clear about kicking the proverbial can down the road. And if you think Ramsey is the missing piece that is going to unlock our defense and help challenge for the division then we can just agree to disagree at that point. 2026 is the season we should take bigger swings. 2025 is about culture and getting our existing players reps and hopefully wins.
  13. I was looking more at the 8 game angle then the actual play. But yeah he was a stud, when he played
  14. You don't pay a 32 year old corner 25 million a year. There is an out after 25
  15. The Ramesy thing doesnt make sense as its only a one year rental. Seems like an expensive rental.
  16. mike kaye was giving us a ton of "pump the brakes on bryce" smoke signals all last preseason. Thats why I really respect him.
  17. I mean you can believe what you want but we offered him far and away the most money The Panthers entered the draft needing to acquire multiple receivers. It explains why they made Coker one of the highest-paid undrafted players. They signed Coker to a deal that contained a $25,000 signing bonus with $225,000 in salary guarantees, according to ESPN. It’s more money than some late-round draft picks make. It signals how badly Morgan wanted to add Coker to his roster and it should improve his chances of making the team.
