  1. I'd prefer a backup with more.............potential
  2. That's not true at all. And a 3rd year #1 draft pick captain of the team should not need a mentor
  3. which the huddle has been far more right on then this poo ass organization
  4. I've told this story on here before but in in the early 2000's after a panther game my friends and I ran into Tom Sorenson of the Charlotte Observer at the southend brewery. He sat with us for a while and at some point he was asked directly about why the CO wasnt more critical of Jerry Richardson. He basically said Charlotte is a nice quiet southern town and the people here didnt want those types of stories or those types of reporters/columnists that cause drama. I am obviously paraphrasing but we asked about why the paper wasnt going after shinn and the hornets harder as well when he was going through his troubles and all the crappy moves they made. He just said there is not an audience for that. We argued and argued and he just didnt understand. Maybe he was playing dumb but I remember being incredulous at the time that the people in the media thought that asking hard questions would turn off readers
  5. Local media has always sucked. I could tell my tom Sorenson story again but yall have heard it enough
  6. Either one would be a great pick at 8 6. Will Campbell OT LSU - He has all the tools and meets all the size wants for a LT in the NFL. The top OL in the draft. 7. Jalon Walker OLB Georgia - Walker is all over the place on boards. For me, he’s a top-notch pass rusher. I came away surprised at his power against lineman. He brings a lot to the table, and is not a gimmick position-less guy. He’s a dynamic EDGE who plays well in coverage and can help control the box. With his pass rush & offball traits, he’s going to make an impact. He just needs the right fit. If a guy like Nick Herbig can do it at that frame, holy heck could Walker at his talent level.
  7. I think his combine measurements are going to seal his fate one way or another. He runs a slow 40 hes done. However if he runs a parsons 4.3 ish or in the 4.4 he is going in the top 10. I think his intangibles and sheer brute strength are going to make him a weapon on defense. His tape is just sick. You want to build culture for the team then you pick the captain of the good sec defense. Again if a team cannot figure out how to use him or simply not wanting to draft him for that fact then they are either insane or quite stupid. Feels like we had the same discussion about parson in 21. use him as a chess piece to move all around the line
  8. thats actually not true at all, this is from 2021 but there is a ton more out there that shows lineman rarely play into their 30's and their decline happens swiftly when they cross that mark Average Age: 26.08 Oldest San Francisco 49ers: 27.77 years old Arizona Cardinals: 27.40 years old New York Giants: 27.17 years old Tennessee Titans: 27.06 years old New England Patriots: 26.69 years old
  9. His highlight reel shows he is a do it all type player. Just a talented guy that can play all over ie Parsons. I think he is an immediate 3 down player that is still young and will only get better. He is making some insane plays agains the best players in the country. If a team passes on him because they dont know how to use them then they are morons because this kid has it all. You see him shredding centers, left and right tackles and playing in space and making big time plays in the process. Carter may be leaps and bounds better as a pass rusher but not in the overall game imo
  10. Fitterer is the gift that keeps on giving 31 year old right tackles shouldnt cost 31 million per
  11. The only trade for a left tackle that I can remember was 20ish years ago and seattle did it for Walter Jones. I could be wrong but it doesnt seem common.
  12. If this scenario does happen, then it pretty much cleans up the oline, somewhat cheaply, for a very long time. Fitt painted the front office into a corner with the moton deal and that has to be addressed at some point. I would prefer walker, Carter or trade back but I would be pretty happy if we landed the best LT in this draft. Icky could be a monster on the right side.
  13. Injuries derailed him. But yeah nobody is a sure thing but if he is bpa on their board then that's the strategy. Solved the moton and icky issue seamlessly
  14. He is a pass blocker extraordinaire, draft him and move icky to right
