  1. Thats cool and thats your opinion but they are a highly regarded organization that tracks, monitors and grades players. Thats their job. Their methodology isnt some closely guarded secret they let you know how they grade. https://www.pff.com/grades Do they have flaws, sure I bet you could cherry pick a few but on the whole they have him at 65. Thats about right all things considered. He has become a complete liability in the run game, thats not an opinion thats a fact. Thats not debatable. Everyone on here agrees he is a good pass rusher. He is a great situational player but he is basically a one trick pony. Can he get better in the run game, maybe but I doubt it. He is who he is at this point, 4 years in. All that said, because we gave him crazy leverage we are undoubtedly going to pay him top 3 money. You think he is worth that? So the panther cycle of bad contracts just keeps rolling on. Why did we trade cmac? Because we gave him a dumbass contract and we had to get out from under it. See a pattern here? The Rams were desperate and dumbass fitt didnt take advantage.
  2. His lack of ability to stop the run…………. therein lies the problem and the point we are trying to explain to you
  3. You are a good poster. Don’t lose credibility with stuff like this. They are universally respected
  4. If that is the universal approach why don’t you see the reverse in play during the draft?
  5. The value on a first round pick 2 or 3 years from now is a first round pick to a franchise, its probably not worth that much to a gm on the hotseat. Thats where the disconnect is
  6. so if thats the case why dont we see the reverse in trading?
  7. That’s what nobody is acknowledging. Sure burns can rush the passer but he sucks ass at stopping the run
  8. here is a Reddit thread discussing it with good points for both sides. It does raise the question why you don see it happen more in reverse https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/la9tda/how_much_value_do_future_draft_picks_hold/
  9. I meant post some articles from gms and coaches about how they value future picks because I am not seeing it your way. The only reason imo is they are concerned about their job and not the future of the franchise
  10. Please link some it would be informative for your position
  11. He didn’t start the thread. And it’s not really venting just pointing out yet another way this franchise cannot get out if it’s own way. We make costly mistakes after costly mistake without any semblance of a plan. Trading cmac and then not trading burns is exhibit a.
  12. You could not be more wrong here. That is a simplistic and short sighted way of looking at things. Do you believe fitt had the same line of thinking when he traded cmac?
  13. We would have gotten a 2nd. And that is the problem with the panthers for the past 3 years, we are looking for immediate gratification instead of developing a plan and going with it.
  14. When you make this grand statements its probably best to have receipts
