I didnt say top pick I said top 10 with great odds in the top 5
-
Darnold didnt get the zona win Darnold also got 3 wins right out of the gate under dubious circumstances. We are picking top 10 next year more then likely top 5. For all this talk about improved line I will believe it when I see it because it seems we say the same thing each and every year
-
Hes coming back and conventional wisdom will be to dallas when fat mike fugs up again and payton will command a kings ransom
-
I guess we will see but I doubt that happens this year
-
It wasnt really a weak class if 3 guys went in the top 12
-
If the saints move to 5 and pick pickett and push Neal or Icky down to us at 6 I wouldnt stop laughing at them for a month

Thats what you are not getting, there is not "legitimate option at qb" in this draft. Trying to force a square peg into a round hole will just prolong this suckitude. We need to be patient and correct the poo mistakes of the past 3 years
-
A few things here. QB's never ever go 1-4. And even if we win on average with what rhule and darnold have historically been at we will have a perfect spot to trade up to where we need. The top pick will not have to go far down and they accumulate capital. I dont give a poo how good the line is, if rhule is coaching and sam is qb (and is inevitably hurt) we are a poo team next year.
-
They are not trading all those picks for a tackle.
-
Nope, we will be in striking distance, sure we would have to give up trade capital but holy hell our roster should be in a better place this time next year. One would certainly hope.
-
I wouldnt cry about that
-
Therein lies the problem. They are going to over correct with Willis
-
I am thinking of it in the context of Rhules timeline. We as a franchise cannot afford the luxury of drafting Lance/willis with the luxury of sitting them and trying to develop them. Thats just not our reality. A person like Fields, Jones or Pickett could probably come in day 1 and start. Right or wrong that is where rhule and this franchise is at

Its a weird horse to hitch your wagon to considering everyone and their brother all acknowledge that he needs a LOT of work. I dont give 2 chits if he can throw it a country mile or run over some white boy from some school named North Texas he is going to need extensive time and coaching just to be able to start an NFL game and even then its a crapshoot if he can become above average. The offense he ran at liberty has been described as "elementary" and he didnt throw much in between the hashes. He has so far to go its not even funny. How many coaching staffs are goign to have to work with him to get him able to play?
-
How is it completely irrelevant? What is it about Willis that we supposedly like more then fields? This is the same front office making the picks
-
Better size, played in a much more advanced system, called plays at the LOS. He supposedly interviewed amazingly and broke down multiple offenses and defenses and blew away coaches with his knowledge The real question is, how is willis a better prospect at 6 then fields would have been at 8?
