  1. It will be a little galling for Darnold when he walks out of the tunnel on Sunday, glances over at the Jets sideline and sees the following new editions for their Mormon Superstar: Morgan Moses - OT Michael Carter - RB (2nd round pick) Keenan Cole - WR Corey Dais - WR Alijah Vera-Tucker - OG (1st round pick) Elijah Moore - WR (2nd round pick) As I keep on saying, the Jets did Darnold dirty - his #1 WR is now their #3/4 WR. They literally couldn't win without him - 0-10 in games he didn't start I believe. I'm glad they traded Herndon away - he deserved better too.
  2. Wilson and Jones came out of nowhere. Lance was a height / weight / speed prospect they fell in love with two years ago. Every year there's a first round QB to gamble your pick on if you want to!
  3. Yes, cos there's definitely not another 30 guys after those 22 starters on the roster. They NEVER play.
  4. Looking at the pre-season performance in a bubble - those short throws? That's what the offence is all about. It attacks you horizontally with short, quick passes to move the chains. THEN it hits you over the top once you overcompensate. We've seen it for over a decade in New Orleans. Darnold is a gunslinger with poor footwork. They're addressing the footwork, but it's an ongoing process. They've clearly got him to buy into the system - stop playing hero ball, take what the defence is giving you and trust that the Sexy Rexy plays will come naturally. Bridgewater did the first part extremely well, which is why he had 3 1k WRs. He didn't do the second part well - he wouldn't pull the trigger enough - which is why they moved on from him (and because I think he's a toxic personality).
  5. I'm counting Marshall as a starter as we'll run 3WR sets very often. Offence: Tremble, closely followed by Smith Defence: Nixon
  6. I disagree. Well, I disagree in the sense that it shouldn't matter what Fields does in Chicago, but obviously this fan base won't let that go. This Draft, like every Draft, will be judged on how well the 10 players we drafted play and develop.
  7. Yeah a bit disappointing as he should be holding onto that C position by his fingernails. That said, apparently he was influential in getting the players to attend all the offseason workouts, so this isn't surprising.
  8. Same as last year, a disruptive 'War Daddy' DT that's difficult to move from his spot and opens up opportunities for everyone around him to make the play.
  9. How many on here even know who the three blokes in the thumbnail are? I'd guess less than 10%.
  10. I'm yet to be convinced by any argument that the OL and QB got worse. I'd make the argument that our DL, TE, WR, RB and DB corps got significantly better. Hell we probably have a better kicker this year too.
  11. If he can struggle to 2TDs a half this year I'll take it.
  12. Gotta earn it. It's just them filling air time / website space.
  13. I don't think anyone made him look like a rookie last year - that's why the Chargers are so excited.
  14. We can fix this. Santoso is 26, Borregales is 23. Get on it Fitz.
  15. Could someone please explain why they do these things? They're so odd.
  16. Didn't we have a year where we named a different set of captains each game?
  17. All the pressure against the Steelers came from our C missing blocks.
  18. So many of you have made up your minds about our FA acquisitions without seeing them play. It's bizarre.
  19. Sad face. Jose Borregales was right there. That's it, I'm on the Rhule Out bandwagon. There are no Canes on this squad. Burn it all down I say.
