    He won the Dick Butkus, Bronko Nagurski and Chuck Bednarik Awards in 2000 - he was literally the best defensive player in College. Saying he wasn't as good as Kuechly is a ridiculously high bar. Kuechly wasn't elite, he was first ballot HoF standard. Morgan was an excellent player and talent, he just sadly couldn't stay healthy in the NFL.

    Broncos, Steelers, Falcons, Washington, Patriots - all decisively moving on from QBs who they deemed not good enough. The Panthers - let's run it back with Young, he needs more time. And that's why we suck.

    Those two high 2nd round picks give you a chance to start the rebuild after a disastrous few years. They shouldn't be traded for anything short of Patrick Mahomes.

    Genuinely, why? We're not a superstar player away from contention. Especially not at WR - we saw how much good McCaffrey did. Build the fuging roster.

    Why would we make this trade? We're nowhere near competing and in no position to hand out a mega contract to a WR. Trade Burns for picks and rebuild properly. It's really not that hard.

    Let's see if there's an actual rebuild. You tag and trade Burns if you're rebuilding. You also don't trade for anyone.

    Ask any of those Execs if they'd part with a 1st round pick for him - hell, make it a 2nd round pick. Their answer would be no, which says that the jury has very much reached their verdict.
