Can you imagine if we had 2015 Cam and Co during this era, it would be a New England style reign of NFC South Championships. A division that is now VOID of Brees, Ryan, Julio, an aging Saints defense, Fournette, etc Now imagine being a good team but having to battle in the AFC East / North The real shame in all this was there was a 3-4 year window of NFC South ownership and it got squandered due to negligent ownership, general management and coaching

Players react to firing. They don’t seem too upset

they show the same enthusiasm as him... basically ambien level enthusiasm -
Ben Johnson will have WAY better options this off-season: Bears with 2 first round picks in the top 5, DJ Moore, familiar with the division, cap space, tradeable assets in Fields, an improving defense Chargers - Top 10 QB, top 10 RB that can catch out of the backfield, top safety, great pair of DEs, top 15 WR. He can turn them from pretenders to contenders OVERNIGHT With that said, any of these franchises will fork out money, so if you're Tepper and have a lifeless team with poor draft capital and no franchise players what's your pitch Money: He has LOTS of it and has not been shy to flex that wallet, current highest paid coach is Bill B at $20 million a year Commitment: he needs to know he won't be a one and done head coach, that to overhaul this is gonna take 3 years minimum Control: he needs to know you won't be meddling with every decision or passing post it notes from your tecmo bowl evaluation My offer is: 7 years, $210 million with Ben to pick his GM and it's only Ben and the GM who have final personnel matters You have shown commitment financially by the annual rate and length of the contract, you've also shown you won't meddle in personnel or pick another flunk GM

Frank was TOAST when he came here as a coach, he needed to take a year or two off before throwing his hat into the coaching ring. I get it, money grab, don't blame him, he and his kids are set for life. He's a nice man, revered in Buffalo but hands down the worst X's and O's coach in Panther history
-
Frank is out to pasture, we're on to Tampa

Only Tepper would do something of colossal stupidity and bring in Bill B, he'd likely even do a Pat Riley deal and give Bill equity in the Panthers

I mean he knew firing Reich was going to be a poo storm, but he still did it He basically told Texas A&M "hold my beer" when it comes to paying coaches who are no longer coaching for him Yes Tepper made a MASSIVE mistake in hiring Reich but he also had enough insight to can him and not subject us to 3 years of Reich. I don't think there would be anything left of the fanbase had he given Reich that long of a leash. Keeping Reich next year basically ruins any salvation chance with Young Reich is a nice man but AWFUL coach His playcalling- atrocious he's never really developed a QB unless you call Wentz something special The CHI FG attempt literally highlighted how inept and out of touch he is Am I wrong to credit Tepper for at least recognizing how horrible the Reich hire was and immediately canning him

Lombardi on Reich, Tepper and the Panthers job

when Reich sent Eddie P to kick an impossible FG in freezing CHI, I knew that man was broken and DONE when it comes to the NFL- 37 replies

Ben Johnson is going to the Bears two top 5 picks a #1 WR tradable asset in Fields A demented owner who's hands OFF that's a dream come true
