  1. Immediately after the season he dipped out on football entirely like it's just a job and then did the bare minimum working out with TMJ and then showed up to camp looking exactly the same. What a strong offseason. He is Sam Darnold without any of the phsyical traits. Time to face the music.
  2. Coach speak or not. The coddling is insane. At what point does this org and staff stop shitting on their own fanbase and acknowledge reality?
  3. This kid has 38 million guaranteed to continually be the worst starting QB in the entire NFL. We don't need these sob stories. He's laughing all the way to the bank no matter what.
  4. I'm reminded of this fluff article the Panthers bot posted in early August talking up how much the players specifically the starters appreciated Dave Canales even though there was skepticism amongst the fans that the overall approach to camp and preseason seemed to be giving the appearance of what can only be described as "soft". Fast forward to week 1 being one of the worst ass whoopings in the history of the franchise and.....
  5. Well he certainly earned it with how he had the starters being coddled in camp and sitting out preseason like we were coming off a Super Bowl appearance and not the worst record in the league.
  6. For added perspective. The Bobcats hold the record for the worst single season win % in NBA history. Still not as bad as Tepper.
  7. Actually if you look at the touches his usage is up and likely only going to increase given his contract. He just is willing to play through injuries there because he is where he wants to be whereas here he was over it and not wanting to risk himself just to lose. I don't necessarily blame him but we paid him a ton of money. Truth is truth.
  8. I don't think even Tepper is that stubborn. The fanbase is already becoming nonexistent. Another season of this they may as well move the damn team.
  9. No you're just being realistic. All last year the offense put the defense in bad positions and kept them on the field. All things considered they were at least decent most of the time. The defense could have done much better yesterday but this is an offensive league ffs. When you invest what we have into the offense to the detriment of the defense you expect a hell of a lot better than that. We have been trying to build around our first overall pick. He still stinks. And it's having a ripple effect to the rest of the team.
  10. I'm out of pie but when I re-up I got you guys. Some great content here since last night. But I couldn't agree more. Let's not forget his dad was on X lobbying for the team to take his choice of WR. The level of entitlement is astounding. Clearly passed this on to Bryce who before last season looked like he had never faced any true adversity in his life.
  11. Multiple coaches have already fallen on their swords for Bryce Young. We have tried to scapegoat everyone and everything possible to avoid facing reality. That's over. What we are seeing is why ultimately nobody else seemingly wanted this head coaching job or the general manager job. By taking the job you were immediately beginning your first attempt by taking a huge L. Everyone that watched last season knew Bryce had low odds of becoming a franchise QB from that. Only cope filled fans here truly believed something special was brewing. We always knew when Canales took this job it was not tied to his ability or inability to salvage Bryce Young. The same would have been said for anyone who took the job at this point. You remove the common thread at the center of the issues and from there try to get a picture of what you've got. Until then. Unless you want to remain a dumpster fire and the worst team in the league for several more years you take a deep breath and approach this rationally. Yes give Canales tons of flack for his dumb ass approach to preseason. But talk of firings at this point is not going to solve anything as much as it sounds appealing to our need for instant gratification. Just put Bryce Young in the rearview.
  12. Here's the rub. If your #1 pick QB is any good at anything whatsoever you won't see people on random fan communities having to shout down any and all criticism to the point of basically creating an echo chamber. Those people deserve yesterday.
  13. I like his honest assessment. As always I went straight to the comments and they were gold. One stood out though. Folks this stink isn't going to wash away for a very long time sadly.... F*ck David Tepper
  14. Seeing the way Bryce played I am immediately reminded of some of his worst moments in camp. One play stands out. Bryce threw a no look pass to a receiver flanked by two defenders without even scanning that side of the field for a split second. Looked like he just wanted to get out of there. That's how Bryce looked yesterday. Not only does he not look like an NFL player he just doesn't seem to give much of a poo in general. Horrific leader as far as I'm concerned.
  15. Before the trade up? Carr. After? Nobody knows for sure. But at this point common sense has to enter into the equation. The way he looked at CJ Stroud at his proday is all I need to know personally.
  16. The definite downside to riding out the season with Bryce Young is these other young players waste a pivotal season of much needed development. At this point I think you have to try to give them some reps with Dalton.
  17. Did you actually expect the defense to carry the game for us or something? Could they and should they have played better? Hell yes. But did we invest heavily in the defense in the offseason? Hell no. What did we invest in. Well let's take a look at that. First round pick trade up? Offense. 2nd round pick trade up? Offense. 153 million dollars between two FA signings? Offense. My guy for someone who isn't trying to carry water for Bryce Young you're sure sounding like the opposite. Like I don't even know what you're doing at this point.
  18. I said all along it would work out fine if your team comes out looking at least competent and competitive. Don't necessarily need a win just need to give hope. But the other side to the coin is a horrific blow out loss. Well....Dave has earned himself his first heaping portion of criticism.
  19. We all knew the talk of preseason not mattering was bullshit even those of us who tried their best to deny it. But that was just one broken defensive play. What really set the tone was the first offensive play of the game.
  20. Who isn't better than our QB at this point?
  21. We both know Lamar was never leaving Baltimore. It would have been career suicide by the GM and John Harbaugh come on.
  22. Morgan is and was always going to be a really risky hire. He was directly involved in much of what has hurt this franchise the last few years. The concern is ultimately Tepper hired him instead of an outsider so he could still meddle in day to day operations. I mean he literally hired the best friend of the worst Panthers GM in history and said there done. I like Dan Morgan but I'm sorry I'm absolutely not sold. We will see.
  23. Anyone heard from @csx? He'll be none too pleased about all this unflattering commentary on the team.
  24. Let him draft his own QB then begin the evaluation.
