  1. Punting down late in the 4th with the game on the line at home lol Same ol' Panthers.
  2. Can't be wasting drives like this. Bummer for the home crowd.
  3. We spent 150 million dollars on the offensive line in free agency and traded up for both of our first 2 picks to use on offense. I'm not happy about the defense either but we need to score damn points.
  4. There is A LOT of time left in this game. Time for Canales and Co to prove themselves at home. Even if you don't win just put up a hell of a fight.
  5. Refs will always screw us over it is what it is. Don't turn the ball over and this game could be tied right now. Just can't make mistakes against teams with elite offenses. We have and now we've gotta claw our way back. It happens.
  6. Disappointed in the defense but this was always going to happen. Bengals offense is very good and they are extra motivated to bounce back from some tough losses. We've invested a lot in the O. To the detriment of the D. If you want to win in this league you better be able to score 30 points consistently or you are not going to win much.
  7. I'd rather go defense in round 1 than draft another Alabama quarterback.
  8. The Raiders may have overlooked us. But they are not the cellar team some talking heads are trying to label them to diminish our win. Last year they moved on from Derek Carr and then later on that same season proceeded to put up 63 points with an interim coach and Aidan O' Connell at QB. Can you even imagine us doing that in 2020 after cutting Cam? We've endured some of the lowest scoring games in franchise history just within the last season. I'll take having something to feel positive about going forward and just competitive watchable football overall 10 times out of 10.
  9. Those games do exist I agree. Especially for us. As Panthers fans we've seen them. Sports equivalent of a fugazi. At this point I don't think we can form much of a conclusion one way or another. We need to see more games to form a true perspective. There's nothing wrong with not buying in yet based off one win. There's also nothing wrong with being cautiously optimistic. For me I feel good about our chances going forward because it all starts with coaching. I really liked the way from top to bottom Canales and his staff operated and had the team motivated. Now we just need to see it replicated consistently. I do not expect to win a whole lot this season. Just give me positives and something to build on.
  10. Yeah the issue has always been for you to maximize him he has to be the focal point and with that his touch rate is absurdly high which means you're just waiting for the other shoe to drop. All of this is why it's important to stop thinking huge investment in running back is necessary to compete. You start with the OL and QB then go from there. With CMC we had no OL and no QB. Definition of cart before the horse. Just comically mismanaged. Yeah it's funny how much people went out of their way to diminish Moore despite what he had to work with here but they learned the hard way didn't they? Jokes on them. All I can do is hope the powers that be here are learning because all they have to do is look around the league at what successful teams are doing. Keep investing in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Develop your QB's. Draft WR and RB instead of overpaying for the position. Fundamentally this really is not that difficult. The difficult part is consistently drafting well. I think the duo of Morgan and Canales has potential for staying power kind of like the pair of Beane and McDermott in Buffalo. We just need Tepper and his wife to let them do their jobs.
  11. I've had high hopes for Mark but damn what a factory of sadness the center position has been for this team for too many years.
  12. I'm just saying between the two obviously McCaffrey is infinitely more talented but he also has a knack for getting paid big and then getting injured and taking off to live the high life while his team is left to pick up the pieces. I would agree Moore was the most egregious of the three given what we traded and received in return and he has the highest upside given his age and health status. But even he's finding out what it's like to play in Chicago. Neither of the three were an insurmountable loss to the team. That's the truth. All that has ever mattered is that we build forward with some level of competence and develop new talent. Hopefully that's happening.
  13. He is in no way shape or form worth that contract. But at least with Burns he generally stays healthy even if he's mediocre at best. McCaffrey gets a big new contract and immediately goes back to the same old same old. All these people that spent the last year crying about him should have known better.
  14. It's unfortunate but guys are going to get banged up along the way it happens to every team. My expectations are the same. Just show us some fight and competitiveness through it all.
