I'm going to have to disagree. He's made some nice throws along the way but by the end of the season it was clear all the defenses we faced knew his limitations. Now we have a coach that does too. What we are left with is salvaging this situation as best we can so we can get back to competing. I'm hoping Bryce will be highly motivated and ready to prove something this year. But I'm not going to engage in self deception and convince myself that as of right now he can make some of the same throws we've seen from the other rookie QB's. We picked the least phsyically gifted of the QB class at 1. Can't unring that bell now. But I'm still hoping something works out for us. We'll see.

Furthermore CMC has accomplished MVP discussion with the absurd amount of generational talent (aside from QB) and elite coaching around him and people are pretty much rooting for him and a former bitter rival of ours to win (another) Super Bowl. So when I see the flip side of that which is DJ Moore in a QB and WR wasteland putting up top 10 numbers with Fields I assume that people who are not being consistent between the two have an agenda.

For all the complaining about how Bryce Young’s receivers are so awful it is amusing some of the same folks will vehemently argue DJ Moore is average at best.

I don't know if he will be a success but his marital past will have no impact whatsoever on his ability to coach and assess/develop talent. I don't even understand how that's a line in the sand for anyone anyway given the number of controversies so many NFL players have been involved in over the years. If anything even vaguely unethical is off limits for you then you should have stopped giving the NFL your viewership dollars years ago.

I guess I can't blame anyone for being unimpressed and apathetic with new hires given Tepper's track record. But there's no point to shitpost and edgelord over the hire if you're that detached from any level of optimism. Best to just get away from the Panthers for your own health. Save your energy.

Dan Morgan checks all the boxes he has the history he knows the culture we need to build. The question is can he build quality rosters. I hope.

I don't think it's fair to lump Mingo in with any of the other busts yet. Certainly not if the people doing so are more than willing to give BY a clean slate. The reality is as much as our drafting and development of talent needs to improve so does our leadership across the board. It's fair to wonder if someone like TMJ ever stood a chance here anyway. We are completely devoid of any leaders. As much as Canales will help in this area we also need our #1 pick to step up. He needs to be connected at the hip with his receivers and developing rapport.

As bad as Hurney was Fitterer was so much worse it's comical. For all his foolishness our last legit WR was still a Hurney pick. To have been as abysmal as the Panthers have been at drafting you would think we would have reset the scouting department. As much as I'd like to think positive about Morgan it's difficult to invision us suddenly nailing drafts if we're relying on the same scouts. It also doesn’t help that Morgan worked closely with Fitterer and as far as we know signed off on many of our failures.

Unfortunately you are right. LaMelo is a good young guy all things considered but he's immature which is not uncommon in the NBA. They need to figure it out though because we showed Borrego the door and immediately declined significantly and the knuckleheads that he tried to keep in line are now just having a good time no matter how bad we lose. Keeping Miles Bridges around was all the hint we needed that this franchise values character zilch. Bummer. I have nothing personal against Gordon Hayward but from the standpoint of an extremely well paid athlete he is spoiled and entitled. When his wife called out the team last year or whenever it was that told me all I need to know. Frankly. Fug that guy.

He's sitting on a contract worth just shy of 38 million dollars and he just finished the season statistically one of the worst rookie QB's in history. He's doing alright all things considered.
