We aren't solving the QB dilemma in trades or free agency. You swing when you get the chance. Reich didn't put this staff together to waste a season waiting on a QB next year. That's not how you run a franchise.
-
Yeah I did see some of the talk about how they may not be as formidable as they once were offensively. But you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with an opinion worth listening to who thought they were not still in contention for the AFCC. The way they are trying so hard airing out grievances after winning another Super Bowl is just cringe. I hope the Bills or the Bengals give them all they can handle next season. Parity is good.

The people banging the "next year" drum are just shell-shocked. And then next year rolls around they'll start to hem and haw about how that years class isn't actually all that good. Drake Maye is the flavor of the month just like Sam Howell was way back when his hype was at an all time high and people had him going first overall. Every. Damn. Year.

In what sense would the Chiefs be considered going through a rebuild at any level? They lost Tyreek Hill. But they still have Mahomes and Kelce. They are creating a narrative about "haters" that exists only in their minds. They have now become just as insufferable as the Patriots IMO.

Price to move into top 3 based on past trades.

If you believe in the prospect you are targeting make the move and shoot your shot. We can't keep being scared. -
Then what do you want? Darnold/Corral? There's just extremely low odds Tepper hired Reich and paid for this staff just to run it back with the likes of what we've already had. One way or another from my POV it looks like a big swing is on the horizon. Some of us might not like it but it's going to happen. We'll see.

I'd have to imagine the odds of striking gold on other teams discarded rejects turned reclamation projects can't be any better just saying. But let's pay Carr a boatload...
-
This time it will be different though. Third times a charm right?
-
Look who remembered his old password after all. Welcome back!
-
You're still stewing about McCaffrey? Time to move on big guy!
-
Tepper earned some harsh criticism you don't have to dive in front of that for him like that Elon Musk meme. If he's learned from the Rhule debacle and is letting real football people make decisions he deserves some credit too now. Of course we still have to see what will be done at QB. If we just throw a ton of money at Derek Carr (reclamation project 3.0) instead of drafting our own young QB in the first round then that will feel like going backwards and undue any progress made with these hires.
-
Gettleman apologists still exist?
-
Both in their thirties too. And both could be in line for head coaching opportunities in the future. Good stuff.
-
"Al Holcomb is my DC hire me now" lol
-
Too late. He's a Darnold believer.
-
Excellent hire. Staff is looking very good. With all these additions we've got to be looking at making a move for a QB in the draft. No way we are doing all this just to make a run at aging Derek Carr. Go big and get our young QB now.
-
Well that's hogwash. Who says it's a bad thing. You? I relish the idea of us drafting a QB in the first that could finally lift this franchise out of this terrible funk where people sit around polishing turds that are failed QB's like Sam Darnold. Or wanting us to throw 30+ million a year at someone like Derek Carr. There are people here who do not want us to draft certain QB's because they still want the game to be played a certain way. I want QB in the first and I'll support whoever it is. But again I know if it's Stroud or Richardson the same folks who groaned about Newton and now Fields will continue the same trend. Me? I just want to win. And I want a QB who is going to bring some attitude to this team not this aw shucks just happy to be here nonsense.
-
I cannot wait until we draft Stroud or Richardson and the Fields haters sit around gritting their teeth the next several months.
-
Oh boy here come the tales of woe. "One time Steve Smith pushed me down and stole my wallet".
-
Meh. The blood and guts game settled anything that needed be said or proven in either direction. And if we had 89 in SB50 we likely win. But it's all history now.
-
If we do draft Stroud I wouldn't be surprised of OldhamA eventually gets himself banned. I say go for it.

A Statistical Analysis of Signing Carr vs. Trading for L. Jackson
frankw replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's really weird you are high on Stroud but also have a boner for someone like Carr. He's 32. He doesn't even have the youth factor going for him like the other reclamation projects (Mayfield and Darnold) we convinced ourselves might somehow work out in our favor. The one plus though is if we sign him to a huge deal and he stinks folks like you will pretend you never wanted him. That might be worth it to laugh at -
I hope they do it. Their roster is not nearly as good as the Ravens and they will give up a haul too. Win for us.
