I think there may be some confusing with usage versus investment. Yes the ground game is seeing heavy usage this season but that doesn't mean every team is investing the same. Many teams use mid round picks on the position and keep it moving. Instances like McCaffrey once again being perpetually banged up and his team losing while being the highest paid back in the league are only going to further dictate most teams continue that approach.

He is 37th in touchdowns for the season with 5. That's two spots higher than Aidan O'Connell at 39 who has 4 and Bryce has played three more games than him.

Howell is a good example of what I would describe as comparitive inconsistency in the way he is regarded. He had one season to show what he could do and was sacked as much as Bryce was and while he had dicey decision making at times with risky throws he was undoubtedly moving the ball as he was 12th in yards and yards per game for the season while completing 63.4% of his passes. I don't think it's fair for anyone to say he is a bust and should never get another shot while turning around and affording Bryce Young chance after chance. Just keeping it real.

And he had the same number of pass attempts as Bryce. Some people here have lowered the bar so much Bryce Young might as well be riding around on a bike with training wheels.

Well I'm going to assume he cannot have worse in game situational awareness than Eberflus but you never know lol.

Just because we made a bad trade and selected the wrong QB does not mean we should double triple and quadruple down on a QB who is currently for this season 35th in passing yards 36th in touchdowns 39th in yards per attempt 40th in yards per game 39th in completion % and 42nd in passer rating. In this league you need not only a really good QB but it pays dividends to have a good backup plan in place. Why would you or anyone else be against us having a real legitimate insurance policy this go around instead of a washed up Andy Dalton and an afterthought like Jack Plummer? It sounds to me like some of you are only invested in catering to one player because you want to salvage the trade instead of doing what is best for the whole team long term. Bryce Young does not carry that level of sway. That's all there is to it.
