  1. Oh we know what we'll find. Many people from fans and those in the media agreed that it was a solid situation for a rookie QB to be going into at the least. Certainly it was regarded to be more desirable than the situation CJ Stroud was supposedly being drafted into. The revisionist history on that now is the same as it is for all the talk before the draft that Bryce Young was the most pro ready QB in years and would work his magic on the NFL field even if he didn’t have the best talent around him because he was that good and indisputably the best QB in the class.
  2. Normally he's been pretty solidly logical on most things. I guess everybody has their moments though. We're all human. For myself I'm glad to have Coker. I think he's got a bright future ahead of him. But. I'm also a Panthers fan. And I've seen the likes of Ian Thomas and Terrace Marshall Jr shine in camp so I'm also going to withhold celebrating just yet. First two games of the season are on the road. That will tell us unequivocally where we're at.
  3. It's bonkers to even read it in print right? But that's David Tepper's Panthers!
  4. Carrying water for David Tepper and the terrible moves he's been a large part of pushing for in the past isn't moving the needle either. Certainly kissing ass hasn't made a difference as we've only gone from bad to worse. In actuality this board could really use some actual opposing fans and viewpoints from them to show you how insulated some of you have become. Literally some of you are Jake Gyllenhaal from that movie Bubble Boy.
  5. It's always been like this. There are tweets and a link to cbssports in the TC camp thread for today that further elaborate on what happened with Jaycee Horn. Anyways regardless of whether or not the huddle is dying I don't see how this is any different or worse than sifting through Twitter or any other similar format social media site because either way wherever you go there are going to be people bloviating and arguing left and right. That's the internet these days for better or worse.
  6. There is a legitimate chance he has a big season under their new coach. I would be hesitant to make any firm declarations either way at this point. There are so many variables that go into a possible scenario where we don't trade Moore. But to be clear. By definition we are not better after surrendering a haul of resources in that trade. We just fielded the worst defense in decades. And we had the 32nd passing offense in 2023 and the 30th passing offense last year. We made a flurry of moves we hope will stem the tide for the time being and we have many young players with promise. But our season and the trajectory of our franchse still very much hinges on Bryce Young taking multiple steps forward this season.
  7. Yup. Born and raised in Charlotte. Now that I'm older Kannapolis is the better living option. And even then Charlotte drivers are slowly making their way here unfortunately. With that crime and insane overdevelopment Charlotte has just become a nightmare.
  8. He was 6th in receiving yards in the entire league the year we traded him. I don't know why you guys are making me defend this dude lol I still have PTSD from him and the Bears absolutely dragging our defense up and down the field last season. I mean it should be a forgone conclusion that the guy can play regardless of how we feel about him and want to justify the trade.
  9. My guy. We shipped him off to the Bears. Yeah it's gonna be tough to win in Chicago. As for our Panthers. I mean we've had many great players here that have lost a lot. Does that diminish them too?
  10. I don't think anyone who is not associated with the team can say whether or not he was happy being here. All we had were rumors about his personal life. Regardless. He is still 4th on our all time franchise receiving yards behind only Greg Olsen. So while folks are free to diminish that we still need to see these younger WR's take the reigns and exceed his numbers here.
  11. I'm not comparing positions I'm saying young players adjusting and struggling is common. One is a first overall pick the other is basically a second rounder who we all knew would need time to develop. There were no people on the Bryce train before the draft blaring over a loudspeaker that Bryce Young would need nearly 3 seasons and elite weapons across the offense to look serviceable.
  12. I mean at the end of the day it didn’t have to be that dire. Nobody put a gun to our head and forced us to trade DJ Moore.
  13. XL basically had one season of production. TMac had multiple. We knew Legette was going to be a work in progress when we drafted him. If you folks had all this patience for Bryce and still do as a third year player idk why you harp so bad on Xavier before he's even played a single snap in the regular season of his second year.
  14. With Shedeur it's a toss up. I think he's either going to flourish or flop. The talent is there. It's the things in between. And with an era in sports where distractions are everywhere it's a recipe for disaster. But I don't have anything against him.
  15. What's done is done. We gotta hope it works out. But I will say. It is absolutely bewildering to see such frequent arguments against healthy competition for the most consequential position on the football field for a sports franchise with 7 winning seasons in 30 years.
  16. In some instances I agree athletes should have drivers. But in this case he was parked if I read correctly. Driver or no driver unfortunately there are dangerous people on the roads. Especially in the Charlotte area. They are lunatics.
  17. Myles Garrett looking Conan the Barbarian in that clip.
  18. I was wondering why Jaycee was in street clothes. Apparently he was in a car accident this morning. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/panthers-jaycee-horn-will-not-practice-wednesday-after-being-involved-in-car-accident/
  19. Nice to see Coker and Legette doing well in the red zone. TMac is still adjusting as a rookie but we know what he can do.
  20. Given their depth at the position idk why they would. It's going to be a long season.
  21. I know there's a lot of hype around Renfro but I feel like he faces a steep climb to ever get back to where he was. With this hamstring injury lingering now I would hate to see the Panthers make a tough roster decision they later regret in order to keep room for him.
  22. Gurley had a phenomenal season without a doubt but the fact is he was practically their best receiver. That's not a glowing statement for the WR room. And again. Goff was 7th in the entire league in yards per pass attempt in his first full season as a starter. This past season he was 2nd in the league in yards per pass attempt only behind Lamar Jackson. Meanwhile our QB has thrown for more than 300 yards in a game just once across 28 career starts. Goff has thrown for 300 or more yards in 43 games. They do not belong in the same conversation.
  23. He didn't post anything overly egregious. That just goes to show how fragile the psyche of some folks have become under the weight of the trade the Tepper's pushed for. We've been willing to blur the line for a lot of things to convince ourselves of this or that to justify the investment. For the sake of the huddle let's hope for the best case scenario in 2025.
  24. https://www.carolinahuddle.com/topic/261590-game-thread-panthers-at-bills/#comments
  25. I definitely do not want to be the first team Shedeur has a really good game against. But none of it really matters. I mean Bryce and the offense looked good against the Bills backups last year and most people breathed a sigh of relief until weeks 1 and 2. In the end it doesn't mean anything. I won't be a believer until I see competitive football early in the regular season.
