  1. Lamar Jackson leads the league in passing yards. He's 7th in YPG. Bryce Young is 40th In YPG. His career average through 24 games is 165 YPG. But one loss against the Chiefs and it's time to compare him to Lamar Jackson. This place is exhausting.
  2. Awful awful choke job at the end there. Cody Martin can eat poo.
  3. The Panthers have had two long term starting QB's in the span of 30 years. Bryce Young looks halfway decent in a loss to the Chiefs and suddenly we're having to defend Jake Delhomme. There's "glass half full" and then there's "alright that's enough edibles for you".
  4. Well I'm glad to see Salaun is out there getting some buckets with Brandon and LaMelo. With a legit center this game is much closer.
  5. I'm gonna respectfully say that is debatable..... Besides. Does Jake Delhomme not still hold the record for the longest pass/reception in Super Bowl history? Let's not throw dirt on Jake's name to prop up Bryce Young. All this coming off a loss too. How about we not drive ourselves off a cliff high on hopium before we see this team against the Bucs and the Eagles. One week at a time.
  6. I wish all of this wasn't after a loss. Hopefully good things are around the corner but we've already done this once in this same season. After the convincing win over the Raiders the locker room was on cloud nine and the fluff couldn't get from the team to the fanbase fast enough. With that in mind. I'll just take this one game at a time. Now let's beat the Bucs.
  7. I thought Berman was retired. Good to hear he's still around.
  8. We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us. So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
  9. Only on the huddle is asking for 2 passing touchdowns from your first overall pick akin to expecting him to perform like one of the two best QB's in the league. Is there even a bar anymore? Comical.
  10. So you're saying Bryce Young isn't getting the same benefit of the doubt as Patrick Mahomes?
  11. Oh no what an insurmountable expectation. Right? lol It literally only requires him to throw 2 passing touchdowns and then a couple more scoring drives letting Chuba Hubbard do the extra leg work. We went to overtime against the NY Giants with one passing touchdown. That same team just got absolutely whooped by the Bucs. The Bucs aren't even that good either. It's fine to have expecations guys.
  12. When Bryce Young leads this offense to multiple 30+ point outings primarily through the passing game I will begin to become a believer. Until then everything remains in perspective.
  13. If you seriously think Stroud looks like Bryce did as a rookie then congratulations you have the same bias as those you constantly accuse others of. Stroud is 4th in passing yards despite all the circumstances he's faced this season. Here we rejoice like it's Christmas morning when Bryce manages to cross 250 yards passing in a single game.
  14. Stroud has 37 passing touchdowns in 27 games compared to Young with 16 touchdowns in 24 games. You play the game to score points. It's comical that some people in sports media cannot compliment Bryce Young for showing improvement that crosses the bare minimum threshold without trying to tear down Stroud just as they did to him before the draft.
  15. I like him on a personal level and I know he's very raw but when someone like Knecht is contributing on a meaningful level right away it is infuriating watching this team slog their way to 60 points at home. This was a comically low scoring game until the fourth quarter and that's with LaMelo dropping 44 points after dropping 50 within the last week. So far I am not much impressed with the new front office. And enough with this Mark Williams foolishness. Get that man on the court or put him on the block.
  16. I'm done hearing complaints about LaMelo until these fools start putting anyone around him and Miller worth a poo. 30 mins from our rook and only one damn point? Not good.
  17. Bryce Young in 24 career games: 16 touchdowns Kyle Allen in 13 games in 2019: 17 touchdowns Safe to say there's still questions about his passing ability for many people. Unless you're a self described "Stan" on twitter.
  18. Yeah at one point last season we took our first overall pick off the field in favor of an aging Andy Dalton to have him throw a hail mary. If you weren't a Panthers fan you would laugh. Obviously Bryce looked better in many phases but there are still situations where his arm limits what the offense can do. It should not be controversial to acknowledge that reality that we've all seen with our own two eyes. That's why many people myself included want to see new additions to the QB room in 2025 regardless of what transpires the rest of the season.
  19. This fuging sucks. I like Grant a lot. But we will get to see what coach Lee and the young guys can do under even tougher circumstances now.
  20. Sure there's a ton of transplants in Colorado now. But as far as Denver in particular goes the Broncos have also been around for 65 years. Someone moving to Denver is going to be far more likely to become a fan of the Broncos and even attend games versus someone moving to Charlotte and the Panthers. Like I said it's not just one single thing with us it's multiple factors.
  21. The Jets have been in existence for 65 years. The Panthers have been around for less than half that time. There just has not been enough time to establish that level of committed fandom here. The other issue is how bad the team has been over the last 6 years or so. That combined with what is now a transplant city with every rando from around the country wanting to plant their flag here is how you will continue to get a football stadium overtaken by opposing fans.
  22. With a night to sleep on it I'm now firmly of the opinion that we keep letting Bryce improve the rest of the season and enter next years camp with 2 new additions to the QB room. One being a new veteran and the other being another rookie QB we can bring along slowly. If Bryce's ceiling is game manager so be it. In that instance it will be majorly beneficial to the team as a whole to have another QB waiting in the wings and use the other as trade bait. But we've got to be smart about this and think ahead. I cannot stress enough that we cannot again sit on our hands with the most important position. Meanwhile we've also been continuing to build up the rest of the roster in the meantime. Then maybe we will be ready to compete for the division and a playoff spot. That is the best path forward for this franchise given where we are and the mistakes we've made that should serve as a learning tool of what not to do.
  23. Beautiful seeing the 49ers and their trash fanbase on the receiving end of a blowout loss.
  24. It's the biggest problem with the whole situation. Any improvement even at all is good enough to be able to say we didn't draft an outright bust after what we gave up. It keeps going back to justification instead of just being honest about the player.
  25. I agree some just take time and having to experience ups and downs and be humbled. My issue is it's only a matter of more time possibly if he has always displayed the necessary physical tools. But he hasn't because those don't exist. So more time is not going to suddenly morph him into something he is not. This is not a Sam Darnold situation. I cannot lie to myself and try to argue otherwise. No disrespect. That's just me keeping it real.
