  1. Next year 1st OR 2023 3rd & 4th and 2024 2nd. I would give away next years first, it gives you more time to get those picks back with players that we may not want to pay long term.
  2. I thought it was because they might be interviewing Kafka but apparently Giants won’t be allowing coaches to interview this week. You are probably right.
  3. This was updated on the 13th. Ben Johnson narrowly edging Wilks on the odds was the 10th
  4. Johnson is a smoke screen. He hasn’t even interviewed yet and the Lions aren’t in the post season.
  5. Thinking about it, good chance they do have their guy and all this Johnson hype, and requesting to interview Payton is just to throw other teams off from their guy until they interview Evero and get their 2nd miniority interview in. Which would likely mean it’s not Wilks since nobody else has requested to interview him.
  6. Only coaches I have seen they have interviewed for HC so far: Wilks Steichen Reich Caldwell
  7. Scott Fitterer and Dan Morgan from time in Seattle.
  8. Well I can actually answer that about Bill Belichick. 1975- Baltimore Colts Playoffs 1978- Denver Broncos-Won division 1979-1990- Went to the playoffs 6 times and won 2 Super Bowls while in various roles. Also spent time under Parcells. 1994-Went to the playoff with the Browns as HC 1996- Went to the Super Bowl with the Patriots as DBs coach. 1998- Went to playoffs as Jets DC So yeah, had some success prior, compared to Ben Johnson hardly sniffing the playoffs.
  9. I’m just saying they give me the same vibes I didn’t say he was Gase incarnate. He’s 36 years old and never been on a team that sniffed success in the NFL. Has called plays for 1 season, and everyone is ready to hand him over the keys because he’s an “offensive guy”.
  10. Well for one, unrelated but Gase was also 36 when he got his first HC role. Both came out of the NFCN. Both were various position coaches before becoming OCs. Johnson was OC for 1 year. Gase was technically OC for 2 years in Denver (but Manning was there so he was the real OC) then 1 year OC in Chicago. Both were/are being talked about as hot-poo OCs that are/were going to innovate the game. I agree, their offense is different. Johnson’s is much less complex than what Gase ran. Also, what team that Johnson has been apart of (ever) had success in the NFL?
  11. Ben Johnson gives me Adam Gase vibes
  12. I think Wilks would drop Holcomb in a second if it was required for him to get the job. That goes for anyone on this staff. @Mr. Scot I respect your knowledge but maybe David Newton isn’t the best source to post
  13. Yeah I think it’s over. So far we have interviewed Steichen, Reich, Wilks, Caldwell that I have seen reported. Got a feeling they are going with Steve and are going to go ahead and vet is staff while they wait for HC interviews to cycle through.
  14. Right now if I had to rank them from my perspective. 1. Steichen 2. Dorsey 3. Johnson 4. Wilks 5. Ryans 6. Reich 7. Kafka 8. Caldwell Really liking Steichen the more and more I learn about him.
  15. *steve beuerlein has entered the chat*
  16. I really like Wilks but I just don’t know if I can listen to another season of “win the day” 15 times in the press conferences. Literally the answer to almost every question. It is the new “missed opportunities”.
  17. I’m not saying that, I’m saying we can’t manipulate the cap enough to keep Shaq, Resign Bozeman, Resign Darnold and Extend Brian Burns. Not “Some Center and Sam Darnold”. That “Center” has a market value of 15-17 million per season.
  18. “Bozeman resigned, Sam Resigned, Shaq Kept, Burns restructured” Tell me you don’t know football without telling me you don’t know football. We have about 1 million in cap space. League may go up 5 million this year to put us at 6. What exactly are you going to restructure with Shaq and DJ? How are you going to restructure Burns on his 5th year option? He is going to want market value around 20 million per year. Which puts us at -14 million. Bozeman’s market value is 15-17 million per year which puts us at -30 million. Need 10 for draft picks which puts us at -40 million. And Sam will be around 5 million per year which puts us at -45 million without signing anyone else.
  19. You don’t want to know the answer to that. Look deeper. Mike Shula is on the staff. Brady would probably replace Dorsey as OC.
  20. This doesn’t look good for Wilks. A lot of these names are 20 years younger with OC roles.
  21. Dude went 14-48 in Jacksonville. Matt Rhule had a better win % than Bradley.
  22. Where did you see the Gus Bradley news? This would be horrific.
