  1. Still trying to figure out how many targets people think a rookie WR, let alone 2, are going to get behind Johnson and Thielen. And some think we're cool at CB/DE lol. Canales knows we have to be run first with a dink and dunk QB so at some point we have to think about stopping the other team from scoring. If Horn gets injured we're out there hoping Dane Jackson and Troy Hill can play 100% of snaps smdh.
  2. Canales today said that scheme influences "BPA", or "rankings" rather might be the better word. With this draft smokescreen stuff no one ever really finds out the truth behind the big boards and whether a team panics and reaches when the clock is ticking
  3. I mean it would have at least been encouraging and better optics if he had gotten with a sports science group, qb coach, something, anything to try and increase his arm strength. The most successful guys usually look for any competitive advantage they can get. PJ Walker isn't much bigger and he's got a legit arm. Even if it only increased his velocity by 1mph it seems like it would be worth spending a few months on
  4. Also with the new kick return rules you pretty much have to return the ball and the defense doesn't get a head start, so that's going to change the whole concept of who's active on game day weekly. A guy not afraid to run hard and get you started at the 40 consistently might jump ahead of a better receiver who doesn't have much return experience in college
  5. Teaching I dunno, I know he said he wasn't here to compete last year. Maybe Canales will use Dalton more as a physical example the basic footwork stuff and whatnot. Last year it seems like they just ignored it and focused on him learning the playbook so they could throw him out there week 1
  6. Rams training camp competition of some sort, he ended up at rg. He was at Center almost all camp and then they last minute moved him to guard and gave Brian Allen the starting C job
  7. I know Canales did his coach speak thing and said he wanted another vet in the qb room, but after looking at the available FA's I think we should really just grab a day 3 guy in the draft or UFA. Dalton has all the vet experience they need in the meeting room. Honestly after these two days I think Bryce needs some competition to get him out his comfort zone.
  8. They definitely don't jump off the screen as anything special
  9. Yeah, the only hope in that context is that teams often bring in guys for 30 visits because they have questions on either mental or health aspects of prospects. Like you don't really need Ladd or Pearsall to come in and draw up plays or routes on a white board but Legette, Corley, you might have some questions about why they weren't asked to run more precise routes. Find out if it was just a system thing or if it's actual mental or physical limitations
  10. Next thing you know Legette is going to be telling the media all of his teams plays, what routes he's being asked to run
  11. Doesn't exactly sound like a major upgrade. Mentions Ladd and Pearsall killing dudes in context with Legette not standing out at the Senior Bowl. I've seen Pearsall creeping up on some mocks and simulators
  12. She was fact checking this quote “I’ve met with the Panthers 4 or 5 times… They keep telling me that if I’m sitting at (pick) 33 they’re going to take me.” South Carolina WR Xavier Legette was not shy about disclosing his relationship with the receiver-needy, local Carolina Panthers.
  13. I'm more concerned that all they've done is "played catch" at a voluntary workout when Stroud and Diggs immediately got together on their own after that trade and started working.
  14. Kaye gets you two in his final mock PANTHERS 7-ROUND MOCK DRAFT HAUL Second round (33rd overall pick): Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas Trade with Packers: CAR trades the 39th overall pick (via NYG) to GB for 41st (via NYJ) and 126th overall picks. Second round (41st overall pick via GB from NYJ): Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M Third round (65th overall pick): Ben Sinnott, TE, Kansas State Fourth round (101st overall): Kris Abrams-Draine, CB, Missouri Fourth round (126th overall via GB): Braelon Allen, RB, Wisconsin Fifth round (141st overall via NYG): Brenden Rice, WR, Southern California Fifth round (142nd overall via TEN): Beaux Limmer, C, Arkansas Seventh round (240th overall pick via PIT): Evan Anderson, NT, Florida Atlantic
  15. Yeah I want to take one, just not necessarily two guys in the 30's if BPA is at a different position. I'm cool with taking another WR at 65 or in the 100's if 33/39 is BPA elsewhere. The same argument can be made for CB or Edge rusher, there's a lot more WR's than CB's and Edge guys in this draft so if one of those is BPA in the 30's it would be hard to pass up
