Yeah I know Carr is "taking his time", but I see zero reason why we would consider signing him before the draft. Same with Jets or Saints, they could take a qb in round 1 as well and lose interest in him

CJ Stroud's tape is a Pleaseant Surprise
Jackie Lee replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
This was cool but McCowns breakdown was my favorite. Hard to compete with a guy that's been breaking down film in actual NFL QB rooms for 20 years. I wish he'd gotten to Richardson and Hooker before he took the QB coach job -
CJ Stroud's tape is a Pleaseant Surprise

He describes it here. I thought the same at first but watching more interviews and social media bts clips he has a presence/charisma that's confident and genuine. I'll take that over a "fiery" Russ or Baker etc. -

The QB school has a new Levis breakdown from 2021... -

Yeah I'm sick of having Lawyers refereeing NFL games on their weekends. Get some full time guys that have to worry about doing a good job or getting fired, not play football ref for fun

Plenty of 4 man fronts watching Broncos games from last year. It's not always traditional, sometimes it's 3 DE's in a nascar package, sometimes they send 5 or 6. Either way it's super aggressive

He also doesn't throw stupid INT's like Beavis and Butthead from last year
-
He was sandwiched in between Pickett and Darnold in the final NFL dot com rankings. Just get Brissett and a rookie and have Corral as the 3rd guy and see what happens. Spend the cap space on skill players

Coaching Staff: Final Pieces (as of 2-23-23)
Jackie Lee replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
It seems like reactionary 180 decisions have been a theme for a couple years. This one feels different, like Tepper finally said fug it here's a blank check get your dream coaching staff so I can show my face in public again -
Take away the jesus thing and has he even been that great of a team player? Every Raiders message board comment says he's about the money and won't stand in the pocket to take a hit. Those fans are happier to get rid of him than we've been of Sam Darnold for what it's worth, considering both teams have no clue who's going to be their QB next season.

After reviewing all these coaches, I'm really glad Duce is the assistant HC and I hope he takes over whenever Reich is done -
Panthers hire Shawn Jefferson as WR coach
Jackie Lee replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Even Shi Smith could get his head right with this kind of coaching staff. He got drafted into a horrible situation and looked great in camp and preseason until Rhule and company actually had to play against NFL teams. The nice thing is we're at a point where if guys don't make the 53 this year, it's because they don't meet actual NFL standards. No stupid camp competitions that go through week 3 of preseason -
Panthers hire Shawn Jefferson as WR coach

Van had a good game on this mic'd up and obviously loves and respects his dad. So many good position coaches so far, Reich is obviously not interested in micromanaging Rhule style, such a relief -
Thomas Brown - A Closer Look (via The Athletic)

If he got this out of Cam Akers at the end of last year he can probably coach up anyone- 21 replies

We have our coaches. What schemes will we run?
Jackie Lee replied to Cam's New Arm's topic in Carolina Panthers
First-time defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero features a personality more consistent than a metronome, but his schemes are creative and aggressive. Last week against the Colts, he employed three outside linebackers, some call it the NASCAR package, with rookie Nik Bonitto and Bradley Chubb outside and Baron Browning roaming from the middle. The Broncos sacked Matt Ryan six times and Caden Sterns delivered two interceptions. The idea of this defense featuring fangs began crystallizing in the spring, Chubb told Denver7 in a one-on-one interview this week.
