In regards to how he's pitching coaching jobs to his staff- "I've got a lot of guys that are like my guys. If I made a mistake in the NFL, one of them is a hired some guys for their experience, but they maybe didn't always connect with me. I'm a highly demanding guy, I want things done a certain way" blah blah. I would say that wasn't a great sales pitch, but there's plenty of guys that just want a coaching job if he's looking for yes men over talent

Can't believe I'm listening to the whole thing. He said one of his mistakes was hiring NFL guys for their experience, but they didn't connect with the way he wanted to do things. So the NFL coaches were also the problem

Also his claim to fame was turning around a team/culture in 3 years. 2.5 years in they threw all his "Brand" and "1-0" "DBO" signs in the trash, and the team culture was revamped in like 10 days

Yeah Tepper got played, he was obviously embarrassed in that presser. At least Nebraska is very far away and usually not in the national media so in a month or so he'll basically vanish off the face of the earth

He just gave Nebraska the same sermon he gave the last 3 teams, just substituted some words to fit the occasion. It's pretty disgusting he's using his son as a pawn in all this as well. Just last week he said he didn't want to move so his son could have a normal senior year in high school, but now his son is a "Youtube kid" and showed him the Nebraska Tunnel walk 5k times. 3 years ago it was his son loves Asheville or something

He wouldn't play TMJ, he wouldn't play Bozeman, he wouldn't play BC over Michael Jordan! What a fuging waste of time. Yup, when you start losing the Fitzpatricks and Philip Rivers, Brees', and the other ones that didn't retire are falling off dramatically like Ryan/Russ/Cam/Brady/Rodgers it's rough. There was an insane amount of solid 10-20 year franchise QB's until the last year or two

The FA list is pretty comical. Teddy/Baker/Sam/PJ/Heinicke/Kyle Allen. Been there done that. Then you have Jimmy G, Brissett, Minshew. Then you have Keenum/Dalton and a couple other aging backups that may or may not even be interested in football. I don't really want any of them for more than $5M max

He's starting to get projected as a day 2 guy. Haven't watched much on him, but I'm not seeing how Levis is still a top 10 pick in the media when it seems like Nix, Ward, Hooker, Penix all had more compelling seasons. I'd much rather go BPA and grab one of those guys on day 2 than reach for Levis
