  1. Matt's also mentioned on IG posts about paying off family debt once drafted. Anyone assuming the family asking for a modest $10k for 3 children to have some stability while figuring out which parent or sibling can afford to take them in is some kind of cash grab, pretty low
  2. So the biggest construction contract didn't even go to a Carolina company?
  3. I think the Bravvion Roy experiment should come to an end, he's not tall or long enough to really do anything. Can't pass rush, can't get his t-rex arms on guys in the run. Nixon is obviously better and I'd rather the extra spot be taken up by a true fat boy for short yardage/special teams stuff
  4. Looks like a slower Robby, don't really see him making it personally just skimming some highlights. PS probably
  5. Zylstra is probably a lock on special teams, so 9 guys fighting for maybe 2 spots? Probably Shi and Higgins jobs to steal.
  6. Interesting, just noticed on Over The Cap that Rambo has the same $100,000 guarantee and a $5k bonus.
  7. He's still on his rookie contract, next year we'll see what teams really think about him. Not sure why the Jags gave him up for a 5th rounder, and I'm curious what we offered Philly last year. 41-12 TD/INT ratio and about 65% completion percentage through his starts.
  8. Thank god a post about football players. Cheek has a really weird throwing motion, Lovett is basically Chuba, I'd rather hang on to the bigger back. Don't see how any of these WR's beat out Higgins/Zylstra/Shi for the last roster spots. TE's and D-line depth can never hurt to take a look at in camp.
  9. Hopefully Minshew follows in his footsteps once he's free from the Eagles
  10. It's weird, even though the Jets pretty much alway suck they still wouldn't hire Rhule under the guideline he could bring his own people with him. Tepper let him do it, and now in year 3 we're pretty sure he's been stripped of absolute control. Even if it was his idea this year we still wasted a perfect opportunity to rebuild and be at the top of the division coming into this year. We're basically neck and neck with the Falcons and Saints when we should have a 2 year head start
  11. I don't get some of these people. The last time we saw the majority of these guys they sucked for 7 games in a row and no one got fired except Joe Brady mid season. And Cam got benched despite actually scoring touchdowns. They don't deserve the benefit of the doubt just because we're in the fluffy OTA period where no one is feeling any pressure and the pressers are more comfortable
  12. Hm 20-Jimmy G 19-Wentz 18-Mac Jones 17-Mayfield Maybe Baker has a better arm than those guys but I dunno. He had other guys lower that I'd swap around a little bit. Pretty much a wash between 30-17 if you give the young guys the advantage of still developing. G/Wentz/Mayfield are what they are at this point
  13. Also watching Rhule in the draft confidentials, he's so fuging wound up and anxious the whole time. He's probably exactly the same way on the sidelines during games, which is a bad thing.
  14. Hopefully the only thing he's actually in control of is managing time outs, which he's been pretty horrible at so far
  15. Yeah, that 2017 year is tricky because they lost OBJ, Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard was playing hurt most of the year. They had like 20 players on IR. He was also HC not OC by that point but who knows how much control he kept over the play calls
  16. Yeah he worked on Eli's footwork/pocket presence but he already knew how to read defenses and call plays. Add in a rookie OBJ and it's still up in the air how much of an impact McAdoo truly had. Considering all that he still seems like he's an upgrade over Joe Brady, and Rhule is probably learning on the job more this offseason than he has the past 2 years.
  17. guess that's what you get when you have a bad HC with full control trying to save his job
  18. Program interruption: Shaq actually seems to love playing for the team and being a captain Looks like he could get a couple sacks this year
  19. He's seems pretty cool. A bit silly but optimistic. I hope things change with McAdoo because this seems like a guy Rhule would ignore/bench/cut for no reason aside from no nepotism available
  20. We're not sitting on $25M, we're $30M in debt with next years cap. Need to put most of that money back into the rollover or else we're gonna extend Shaq/Robby/CMC into 2030. $30M in debt next year with Corral as the only QB on the roster
  21. Yup theres lots of things going into being a starting QB. I'm hoping Corral is already a little bit humbled from his first 2 years, injuries, and falling in the draft. McAdoo seems like a tough love kinda guy so the players might not like it, but he'll break em down and build them back up
  22. I wanna give Fields another year before declaring anything. He was in and out of the lineup with a shitty offense, he flashed at times and took some bumps that he'll probably correct. Yeah dumb comment but his coaching staff was also a mess
  23. Yeah I do, and I'm worried he's going to be in even more of a panic mode this year since the seat is super hot. He fooled people in the OTA presser last week acting like he's calm and collected but he's gonna freak under pressure, much like Sam in practice vs real games
  24. Give Corral as many snaps as Chuba did in preseason. Don't see why Rhule gets stuck on forcing some rookies into success and giving others pretty much no opportunity. Every team learns a QB's traits, I'd rather know if Corral can ball out sooner rather than later because he'll probably be the only current QB on the 2023 roster
  25. We're also close to maxed out on extensions/restructures of decent players. Might be cutting players like Shaq and Robby next year who didn't deserve their large contracts in the first place. $45M in cap hit next year for those two is insane.
