Yes he got torched that 1 play but its going to happen. Other than that what a dog.. guy plays with heart emotion and leadership. I'm all for giving him a deal this offseason if he stays healthy. Some of the best hands we have had at corner since..umm bradberry?

Bryce could be a future cautionary tale...
micnificent28 replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed. It's a crap shoot. No matter who you draft there is a chance at failure and a chance at success. It's a gamble... But my logic to what I would always do is gamble on plus athletes. Give me what you can teach and we will figure out the stuff that is coachable on the practice field. Arm strength height speed can't be improved on. Who cares if your smart if you can't take advantage of said smartness with your limited tools. If it were that simple hell put Canales in there at QB because nobody knows the offense better than him. Football games are won by 2/3rds by the Jimmy's and the joes. Who ever has the better players can make more mistakes and have a better chance at making up for those mistakes. Do I believe Bryce can manage a game and throw less picks absolutely.. but you get him behind on script and his limited ability you force him to have to will you back into games he is going to make mistakes. He doesn't have the physical ability to be one of those 400 yards a game guys. -
Derrick Brown potential season ending knee injury
micnificent28 replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
Would it be wrong to place Derrick Browns injury on Bryce as well? I mean his inability to sustain drives and putting the defense back on the field constantly had to increase the wear and tear and chance injury. -
Bryce could be a future cautionary tale...

This has to be the worst number 1 pick ever in history because what were you so in awe of.. I don't think there has ever been a QB drafted at number 1 with worse physical ability.. and you ignored this. https://x.com/NFLRookieWatxh/status/1833158653135696292?t=LJsBJpnOIyMtFwCDx5IAjQ&s=19 -
Bryce could be a future cautionary tale...
micnificent28 replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
My question is who looked at Bryce young and said wow this guy is absolutely a number 1 pick.. he has the arm the speed the size this guy is the best prospect in the country ahead of pin point Stroud and Freak of nature Richardson... This guy Bryce has the tools they don't... -

Huge fan of this guy he regularly does draft content but every year he does breakdowns of teams and since he has been evaluating players has a deep knowledge of every player on each team. Awesome listen if you got the time plus he is moving to charlotte could be a future huddler.

I know it’s earlt but Dan THE MAN Morgan is IMPRESSING me
micnificent28 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
not a fan of the wallace pick but everything else i can understand the reasoning and makes sense. dan has done a decent job to make sure the panthers have a say so in each round and getting a 2 next year was amazing. if he grab tampa or Franklin here i will be pretty pleased with the draft. -

Why is no one considering double dip at WR?
micnificent28 replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Your being short sighted. I would not let 1 year define the future of my franchise for the next 6-8 seasons. If you hit on 1 or 2 of these guys you set your franchise qb up well as a contender for most of his career. players near and around 30 are in the twilight of their career and could fall off a cliff at any given moment. -
Why is no one considering double dip at WR?
micnificent28 replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thielen is literally a shell of what he use to be. sure he runs good routes still but he has clearly lost a step and shoulsnt stop you from getting a talented player and long term option. Johnson was let go because he was their number 1 options? their castaway is our number 1 let that sink in... no one is letting number 1 options walk with no compensation. In a historic wr deep class taking 2 is perfectly acceptable. We don't know what Mingo prognosis is but i didn't see anything from him that said future star.. at best he might be a 3rd option? You can't go into the season saying any of these guys are in your Long term plans. -
I think a lot of us overrate Mental toughness vs Actual god given ability. Guy has been playing football his whole life and has been elite at all levels and a 5 star recruit. Not to mention hes walking into a great situation with DJ Moore and keneen allen already there, plus the 9th pick to add say brock bowers or rome odenze or so. I dont see how he could have it mentally tough or fail.
-
Yeah agreed. I always believe on gambling on physical traits that can't be taught vs say oh hes an elite processor. Like where is the factual evidence of that how do i scheme around that. your mental state or procesding rate can change based on your environment and getting destroyed like bryce did last year with us. I hope he doesnt start seeing ghosts.
