  1. Yes the jets suck, but they have an pretty good D-line. It was ranked 7th in the preseason by PFF. Higher than ours, and the aints. Yes, they lost Carl Lawson but they replaced him with Shaq Lawson who actually has more QBHs and sacks per snap than Carl. Coach Salah is no defensive slouch either. Though Elflein didn't look great on Sunday, he was facing Quinnen Williams, drafted 1st round, 3rd overall in 2019 with an 81.4 PFF last year. Williams only scored a 46.9 pff with zero sacks on Sunday against Elflein. It wasn't perfect, but Williams is a very good player. I'm not saying Elflein is great. I'm saying he's definitely improving and wasn't total garbage as some have posted. Overall, our pressure rate was just too high last Sunday. BUT our sack count was reasonable and we could RUN the ball. Last year our run blocking was horrible... we were 26th in YBC/Att in 2020. On Sunday were ranked 11th YBC/Att...against a team that was good against the run last year. Last year the jets were ranked 6th against the run in yards per rushing attempt... on Sunday the jets were 17th against the run. Next Sunday we will face the Saints whose D-line, on paper, is on par with the Jets D-line (in fact Rankins left the aints for the jets in their small fire sale this year). The aints were very dependent on the run last week, Winston only had 151 yards passing (29th in the NFL). Next Sunday, the aints will be facing a team that allowed only 2.6 Rushing Yards/Att, currently the best in the NFL.
  2. Yup. The jets drafted 1st LT Round Mekhi Becton last year. This year they drafted 1st Round G Vera-Tucker. BOTH were popular choices on the huddle. They brought in RT Morgan Moses from WFT who had an 80.6 PFF. Their center and RG are on par with ours. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-roster-rankings-for-all-32-teams-for-2021-strengths-weaknesses-and-x-factors-for-every-teams-starting-lineup#NYJ Whose line performed better Sunday? The jets, or ours?
  3. @rodeo Just gave me warning for "douchebaggery" without specifying which post. I tried to send him a message to find out which post, but it says you can't. I guess its this one. Be careful posting about the mods, they stick together. I went and read some of his old posts, most are in the TB. I won't say anymore about it.
  4. Yeah he's complaining about our complaining about his complaining. What really frustrates him is that it distracts him from his original whining.
  5. Yeah, @CRA is apparently still on the college "coach don't translate thing". Its an obsession. He can tell that crap to Dan Quinn who was fired immediately after we beat the Falcons last year. Tell that to Matt Patricia and Anthony Lynn who were also fired last year. All long time NFL coaches who didn't "translate well" to the NFL. All beaten by us, a team in the first year of a total rebuild that shouldn't have won a game. Tell that to RR who was major part in creating the dumpster fire that Rhule is trying to put out. Whose team we beat in his own house last year with the playoffs on the line. We had no business beating anybody last year. We were 5-11 the year before and in 2020 were in total rebuild in the middle of pandemic . After we lost so much talent on both sides of the ball, we should have been picking 1st overall.
  6. I get you. Over the past week I've been building the ignore list. I just don't have the patience, especially as the TB mouth breathers start joining us. Give it a whirl dude. Hover the mouse over the icon, and click ignore.
  7. " The Panthers also released veteran fullback Rod Smith, waived/injured center Mike Panasiuk, and waived/injured linebacker Nate Hall. "
  8. Yeah in any event. I would hope they've already been told. They just haven't told us yet.
  9. When we get to actual football season some of the TB aholes rear their ugly head. I put him on ignore, tired of looking at his ugly ass stealers ring. He can feel free to rail away like an idiot against the mute.
  10. Practice is at 2:45 so we might know before that.
  11. Oh. I didn't realize our whole goal was to find a QB that could earn a 2nd contract. Carry on then.
  12. Yeah, but then did we release him/trade him or he get hurt or something? I just don't remember. Don't feel like googling.
  13. His list is just subjective conjecture. Mahommes is the only one to win a SB and Cam & Goff are the only other ones to make it there. The odds are so small to find a Mahommes, Brady, Manning, and Wilson who can take you there year after year and even then, its still a team effort. 5% or 8% chance the odds are still overwhelmingly against you. The safe bet, is to always bet against your team going to the SB in a given year. Which is what gives the critics fuel because odds are, no matter who we choose, they're right. I think the strategy of focusing on building the team, being frugal with draft capital, and trying to find the diamond in the rough QB is a good strategy.
  14. Yup. He had to fill in for Smitty and did pretty good, but I forget what happened to him, he kind of disappeared.
  15. So I went to 3 Colts message boards to see how their reaction to their backup line play was. I was expecting them to call them trash, or garbage, or how their QBs were getting killed or running for their lives or how their GM/coach didn't value the line because they had no depth on their offensive line... you know, like huddlers do here. Nope.
  16. 1st one was RT Monteiro, the second was LT Ivey, and third was everyone but the center, so the center had the snap count wrong.
  17. Draft Year Round Pick Brady x10 2000 6 199 Mahomes x2 2017 1 10 Garoppolo 2014 2 62 Goff 2016 1 1 Foles 2012 3 88 Newton 2011 1 1 Ryan 2008 1 3 Manning x4 1998 1 1 Wilson x2 2012 3 75 Flacco 2008 1 18 Kaepernick 2011 2 30 Eli Manning x2 2004 1 1 Roeshlisberger x3 2004 1 11 Rodgers 2005 1 24 Brees 2001 2 32 Warner x2 1994 UDFA Grossman 2003 1 22 These are the QBs to make it to the SB last 15 years. 10 are first rounders. 7 aren't. You really can't glean much from it. Teams win SB's.

  19. I like that the two plays they show are break away Panthers run plays.
