  1. I don't want to dis Thomas. I was excited for him, especially his rookie year when Olsen got hurt. But he dropped some 3rd and longs that were right in the breadbasket and then this year, in his own presser he talked about how hard it was for him to transition to the new system in the pandemic. I don't think he can catch or run routes as well as Arnold, and he cannot block as well as Tremble...unfortunately, he's odd man out.
  2. I cannot wait to watch this guy play in a Panthers uniform. He brings an edge to the O that I feel we've been missing.
  3. Yes. In a different video they ask one of his opponents to describe his style. "The guys a prick." was the response. Work. I've had some free time lately, so I'm posting during the lull. Thanks! Brady said in his presser that he see Tremble as a complete tight end who can catch. He's had some drops, but I hope more reps will iron that out Oh yeah, I agree. I'm just excited for what he will add to the run game. Apparently Christiansen and Tremble practiced double teams at OTA's so it sounds like the coaches share the concerns about the line, at least some.
  4. I've been watching a bunch of vids on Tremble wondering why Rhule was so excited about a TE. This vid is my favorite, the narration is awesome. Spoiler alert, my favorite lines: ...looking for opponents to maul"... ..."Tremble is going to ruin #46 day fly though the hole laying the wood on this counter." ..."Michael Mayer is going to wiff his block....Tremble to the rescue though as he blocks both guys at the same gd time."
  5. Oh yeah, I forgot about Fisher. His combine wasn't awesome but he's got a nose for the ball. I'd like to see him make it too, but don't see him beating out Carter at this point. Maybe. I can't see us keeping Moore and Fisher though. To make that happen there would be a surprise vet cut somewhere.
  6. I think Thomas is going to be gone, and we only carry two TE's. I would drop the fullback position have Tremble on H'back duties and we use that extra spot to put in David Moore on the Oline. If we put Moore on the PS he will be gone. In my mind we should have drafted him.
  7. The guy tops my list as the greatest panther of all time. I'd love him in the booth.
  8. Bold. I love it. I think the coaches want youth too. Many have been knocking BC at LT BC had the highest pff for olineman in history, the highest ras, and lowest pressure rate in the draft. As a sophomore he faced P5 teams like USC, Washington, Utah and Tennessee, and allowed a total of four pressures in those 4 games. He has battled 1st rounder Payton Turner from Houston. BC was a 2020 consensus All-American, had the best 2020 pass blocking grade among OTs in this draft class and allowed two pressures on 293 pass blocking regular season snaps last year. He is the only player we traded up to get high in the 3rd and yet some here post that he sucks because he hasn't faced anybody. Its BS. Brown never gave up a sack at Alabama. I too believe youth will win the day by the end of the season and BC and Brown will both be starting at some point this year, by design or by injury. Now Moore at center, that is bold. I can see it happening though, the guy is a brick wall. We should have drafted him, at least in the 7th. I am sure Moore makes the team and if he doesn't win center, I could see him beating Miller.
  9. Oh and did I mention luck? Yeah *** ton of luck.
  10. I agree. He's a rotational player, but last year's production of 6 sacks... on rotation...hoorah.
  11. We avoid the injury bug at thin positions (like linebacker) Donte has a probowl 6 int season. The oline stays healthy enough and performs well enough to keep Darnold upgright. Tremble lays wood all over the field, Darnold and Marshal pull down TD's in the RZ. Brady and Rhule keep their aggresiveness and improve end of game clock management. Snow becomes more aggresive with the better man power. Oh and Slye becomes a solid crunch time ace. This is fun. Great post.
  12. If we don't play well we can say "Yeah well, our kicker can beat up your kicker."
  13. I'm a big fan of UDFAs making good. I think this was a good signing and am looking forward to Fox introducing himself to Tom Brady.
  14. LInk:Panthers 2021 season opener countdown: 91 days to go - Cat Scratch Reader Notes: 26-years old Contract two-year, $8.1 million Started as UDFA out of Colorado State-Pueblo Spent his first four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. 2017 334 snaps(31%) 16 games, 19 tackles 2.5 sacks 2018 Torn ACL 2019 353 snaps (32%) 16 games, 18 tackles 2 sacks 2020 403 snaps (39%) 16 games, 27 tackles, 9 QB hits, 8 tackles for loss, 6 sacks "Between Burns, Fox, Reddick, and Yetur Gross-Matos, the Panthers are going to have both quality and depth on the edges"
  15. CBS does deserve it. Little at LT...seriously? I guess its possible but there is no signs at all for that. I like your idea of one thread per player.
  16. Are you saying we should just post threads on the articles we find on the new players? I was suggesting creating a New Panthers thread where we'd post those kind of articles. I dunno, I have a bunch of them, but I don't want to clutter it up in here. I could see where stuff could get burried in one thread though. OK I'll just spread them out.
  17. I wonder if we should create something like a new player info thread. I found an article on Fox I found interesting, but it was a bit of a fluff piece so I decided not to create a thread for it. Maybe we should have a thread where we can just keep posting anything about the new players. This post on Reddick could go there too. We could call it new panthers or something.
  18. Love it. I liked him on paper, I love him on the field. What a great add. Get your ass back over there.
  19. Yeah Snow in the press conference talked about how he went to Temple as a corner and then really excelled as a DE.
  20. Yeah, in retrospect. I like Shaq, but if I had to choose knowing what I know now, I'd kept Bradberry and acquire a LB.
  21. Obviously they don't know the team at all. They did get QB right, so its clearly internet ready.
  22. Hey thanks keep an eye on me...I forgot that. I have never rewatched that game, and don't intend to. In the end, we lost by more than 3. On to other topics....
  23. In the Shades Robby interview he really threw shade on the jets and how bad the organization was, how they focused on "everything but winning." And I have another thread listing how the jets sucked in EVERY phase of the game. I've watched a bunch of QB studies on him and they all say the same thing, he had no time, was hit often when he threw, the receivers weren't getting open, they dropped the ball a lot and quit their routes and they had no run game soooo...he had to try to force things. The reviewers said things like "If he didn't make that throw, when was he supposed to throw because that is as good as it got". Everyone played man on the jets because the receivers were so slow and sucked. Which allowed them to send pressure, which they did. It actually amazing that he didn't have more ints.
