I watched it last season and tbh I didn't get the impression that he was as dog poo as the guys surrounding him. As the season went on and the effects of throwing to WRs that couldn't get open and catch it behind an OL that couldn't block on poorly designed + called offensive plays became more obvious it made it really really difficult to write him off for me. His first two games to start this season? Totally on him. No argument there, that was the first time I saw Bryce be as bad as his haters say he is. Since returning from the benching though? He's what he looked like at Bama. Now to keep building the rest of the team around him! If his progress doesn't continue, then he gets replaced in a year or two. If it does, then the rest of the holes get to be patched. Yaye!

To be fair to @Seltzer, the quality of the content on the Huddle used to be much, much better. There were always bad faith hot takes, but there was also more than two or three people that know football which allowed for convos with substance. Sucks because I learned a LOT of football from the Huddle 15+ years ago.

That very much looks to be a, "Avoid Budda Baker at all costs" game plan. Looks like it worked out too.

It is remarkable to me that the same people that were pounding the table to trade up for a QB no matter the cost because a franchise QB is "worth any price" are now complaining that he'll never be worth what the team traded away.

Bryce is playing well and looks like the guy scouts thought he could be. Feels good to know that QB1 isn't a need going into the offseason. The WR and TE rooms are going to get a soft reboot, but I don't expect many changes to the offense over the summer.

Fans really expected Bryce to elevate guys that others couldn't.
