  1. There is no way Mac Jones is the pick given that they moved up to #3. If they were already at #3 themselves, nothing wrong with taking him if they think he's the best QB left. But they EASILY could have traded up to say 6 with the Eagles (who clearly were okay with trading back to 12 apparently) and saved themselves a future first round pick while still getting Jones. They did this to draft Lance and have him sit behind Jimmy G for a year, which is the smart move for anyone who drafts Lance as the guy played one year of D2 and had to just take the last year off basically, he's not ready to play as a rookie.
  2. It's not hard to see how this plays out, it means we either don't get a QB in this draft, we take Jones at 8, or we give up a STUPID ransom to get the second pick. As the Falcons just aren't going to trade the 4th pick within the division to give us a potential franchise QB, they'll trade it to someone else for less of a return to make sure that doesn't happen as that's what would be best for their own team moving forward over getting a tiny bit more value from us.
  3. There is literally no way in hell the Jets stay at 2 and take anything other than a QB, they'll get far too good of offers to keep the pick and take a non QB
  4. yea, i wouldn't give up our first round pick this year by itself for him right now. If he's cleared and this is all bunk in the end, then go all out, but right now, you can't touch him with a 10 foot pole
  5. This lawyer better have more texts that are damning or this might go away quickly. One text of Watson apologizing for making her uncomfortable doesn't really do much, that very well could have been something innocent and not on purpose that caused it. And the other asking if she's okay with the glute area also doesn't mean crap, i'd imagine a lot of football players get all parts of their body massaged given the hits they take, glute area included.
  6. I still don't understand this argument one bit, it literally makes zero sense for the Texans ownership/leadership to be behind it whether true or not. In what way would this benefit McNair? If true, it would get his QB suspended or worse If false, it destroys his trade value for a while and likely hurts it regardless. They'd have been better off keeping it quiet, trading him for a ransom, and then letting all this go public a few days later and let the other team deal with it while you reap the rewards from the trade.
  7. Hard pass it wil take more than the Bears offer that was already for more than anyone should offer for a QB of his age
  8. Oh and there is NO WAY their owner is behind this, it would make no sense as it ether hurts his trade value even if proven false as that will take time to come out, or gets him a serious suspension and possible jail time if true. Neither scenario helps the Texans, and I can’t see him doing this thinking it will destroy his trade value and get him o come back to the Texans, as it eventually would come out that he was behind it, and then he’s screwed.
  9. The issue at hand is guilty or not, you can’t trade away likely 3 first round picks and a player or two with this issue going out there unresolved. Especially when we likely can draft a QB with just one of those picks and then still have the rest to keep. If it gets resolved before the draft and he’s cleared, go all in, but if not, you draft a new QB and move on
  10. I find it really weird. If he's doing it because he's friends with the owner, it's not going to make Watson be more likely to play for him again. And if he's doing it to hurt Watson, it's not going to help his trade value. So I just feel like the connection has to be a coincidence, if anything the connection would make them want to keep it quiet until after he's traded (as it's pretty clear that's how this has to end)
  11. I don't think he'd mind having him, but when the other options get you draft picks to go after one of the QB's in the draft this year, why would you take back Garoppolo? If that team was a game manager QB away from being a contender, maybe, but if that were the case, Watson might put up with their idiot ownership and try to win a SB himself.
  12. I think it's a pretty solid upgrade to Watson, he's Elite right now, Murray is just pretty darn good. And what QB like that is waiting that long to get their next deal? Murray is the type the Cardinals will need to lock up after his 3rd or 4th season
  13. Not necessarily, Murray is going to need an extension done in the next year or two and he'll get big money. While I think Murray is going to be very good long term, I don't think he'll be as good as Watson who is only 2 years older and already one of the top QB's in the league. The Cardinals have a legit SB contender on their hands if you swap Murray with Watson, I'd do it if I were them. And while I think Herbert also looks like the real deal, it would be hard to turn down Watson for him, as it's the same as with the Cardinals, Watson is young enough and a known superstar, you don't turn that down if you can get him without giving up too much.
  14. Houston doesn't want to make Jimmy G their QB of the future if they can't keep Watson, and SF doesn't have the draft pick to put them in position to draft one. Denver doesn't have the draft pick because no way a QB slips past us, and again, Houston doesn't want Lock as the QB of their future. Watson can want to go to those teams, and while he has a no-trade clause, it's not like he'll say no to the Panthers if we can put together an offer that Houston wants to accept. Realistically the only teams that can swing a trade for Watson is someone in the top 8 or willing to send back a young QB with huge potential like the Cardinals or Chargers with Murray and Herbert.
  15. There would be absolutely no reason to spend more money to get Fuller than it would cost to keep Samuel.
  16. No, no it shouldn't I've seen far too many Stafford games living in Michigan, he's had one or two years where he was pretty good, but for the most part he's just a stat stuffer who completely blows it in crunch time. He's very much like Teddy in that he throws a ton of bad interceptions and the absolute worst times, we should want absolutely nothing to do with Stafford.
  17. Being from Michigan I've asked my friends about this, they fully expect to get multiple first round picks for Stafford. A friend of mine said he'd take (and was dead serious about this).... Chinn, 2021 First and Third round picks. LOL..... hard pass
  18. I know they put up the graphic during some games this year, but I can't seem to find it anywhere with some searches. Does anyone have the final snap counts by position for Chinn this year?
  19. I have a hard time seeing us going into the season with the CB position being manned by 3 rookies, a 2nd year player coming off a bad late season injury, and a guy who was on the PS until the end of last year. We are in a passing division in a passing league, need a vet presence at the position in my opinion.
  20. Love that intro pic of Stew, about to be the wallpaper on my 24" monitor at work for all to see!!!
  21. This is absolutely awesome to see the two state's teams get behind them like this. Hope someone makes sure the players hear about this, think it would be great for them to hear about everyone pulling together for them. Even better for me is that I'm a University of Arizona alum, and I haven't seen them tweet anything for supporting the Cardinals, LOVE IT!!
  22. Hoping Kuechly comes out and plays the first play of the second half, so we know he's alright, and then Rivera pulls him for the game
  23. Great non-block there by Funchess, most young players are going all out for that block, but if he did t would have been a sure fire block in the back
