I already said that I personally thought he did get to the line, but only BARELY. But that's what that is, my opinion, there wasn't a single piece of clear video evidence that he got there, so you have to stick with the call on the field. In the end, if he got there, it was by literally only a couple of inches and neither ref was ever going to actually be able tell exactly where the ball was, if this isn't the Chiefs in this type of game, nobody takes issue with the call and subsequent replay, it's what happens in plays THAT close.

Neither ref could actually see the ball, we literally couldn't even see the ball on the camera angle down the line that is like 10 feet in the air, because there were too many bodies in the way. Do you really think the 5'8" ref standing on the field is going to be able to see that ball with all those 6'5" linemen surrounding the play like that?!?!?! Want to argue for chips in the ball all you want, but there was nothing different in that play than any other spotting of the ball in every single NFL game, it wasn't the refs giving anything to KC, you just sound crazy saying things like that.

That happens on almost every play, of every game, refs almost never have the exact same spot on each side of the field and always comes down to whichever ref ends up getting handed the ball first. The difference is that this was a 4th down play that was being decided by literal inches in the AFC Championship

They write songs about their lives, especially love and heartbreak, it's what so much music is based on, so why does she get all the hate, but nobody else does? Not remotely close, but I also don't hate her because she has given me literally zero reason to have any issue with her. I'm a "fan" of hers in the sense that I think she's a good person who actually strives to do good in the world. They did philanthropic work in every city of her tour, something you don't really see with musical tours and I think that's extremely commendable. Then at the end of the tour she gives absurd amounts of bonus money, literally out of her own pocket, to every person who worked on her tour, from performers, to stage hands, to truck drivers, concessions stand employees, all of them. I'm not a Swifty or even a fan of her music, but as a person, yea, I'm a fan because she tries to do good in the world and has never done anything to make me hate her as I don't care how many times she's shown on TV during NFL games, that's the worst reason to ever hate on someone, so ridiculous.

As stopping the clock for every stoppage of play isn't even close to possible in a game like that, and it's also not like the ref just randomly blows his whistle to stop the game whenever he feels like it. Everyone is told how much time is still to play at the end of 90 minutes and even then, if there is an attacking play when it reaches that time, the game is allowed to continue until the threat is stopped. Really not much "magical" about it

It's ridiculous that they haven't found a way to implement goal line technology yet like in international soccer. But there really isn't a good way to do it for 1st downs as with those, it comes down to where the ball is when the player is down, just reaching the line isn't enough as if they pull it back before they are down, then it's still not a first down. There's just no way to have sensor information that can tell you exactly where the ball is at the moment the player is down.

In no world should Jeanty even be on our draft board, and hit has nothing to do with the player. We have a terrible defense, we still have a huge hole at WR #1, and we have an RB with a top 10 valued contract at his position. Drafting a RB in the 1st round would be GM malpractice, even considering him would be as much, we have FAR too many holes to take an RB in the 1st this year, let alone in the Top 10.

Oh yea, I totally understand the purpose of it, I'd just never heard of that before and like you said, I don't think they were intentionally going offsides, they were just trying to fire off the ball and the Eagles doing a hard count for 20+ seconds makes it so hard to not jump accidentally.

Refs can just straight up award a TD to a team because of penalties? Wow, in all my years of watching the game, I've never heard that one before. At the same time, not sure what else you want the defense to do there when the Eagles use up the full play clock with the hard count to try and draw them offsides.
