Precisely. As always, it's somewhere in between. Between those beating the Levis drum for months on end (we know who you are...) and those unnecessarily panning the guy's character and whatnot. Teams have legit concerns, we don't really know the details, and we can claim we do, or over analyze to the inth-degree, but they just didn't see a R1 guy at the end of the day. Simple as that. He's not bad, could still do well. But team's don't view him nearly as highly as some thought.

So what have we learned here?

I'll never forget Tyrod one rather nice year in Buffalo. He took me to a fantasy final in my big money 14-teamer. What a journey of a career he's had.

There's a lot of reasons I can see for the slide--evident when you watch him play and it was clear as day at his pro day. He just has no control over his arm. And yeah, maybe he didn't interview well, but I'm not going to assume anything about his character.

There's 8 picks to go and we've still got Drew Sanders, Brian Branch, Joey Porter Jr., Michael Mayer, DJ Turner, BJ Ojulari, O'Cyrus Torrence, Sam LaPorta, Darnell Washington all out there. Good stuff.

The Detroit Lions mishandled the first round immensely. They had pick 6 & 18...trade down to 12 (Witherspoon taken at 5 screwed up their plans methinks), land Gibbs at RB over guys like Van Ness and Gonzo, then pick ILB Campbell at 18. They now have pick 34, 48 & 55...but shipped 81 so have a gap until 152 after 55. Just a weird strategy. More trades coming for them methinks.
