Jordan Love has a Panthers full game passing performance before the first half 2 min warning

Go Pack Go chants in the first half in Dallas. Love it. Love is amazing

If DAL loses and fire McCarthy that changes this coaching carousel

Jones' celebration throw to that Pack fan was better than any Panthers' pass this season lol

Let’s see if GB can pull an upset

You don't need to be building relationships for that specific reason. He's been building relationships in the league for 12 years. Just as in any business, it's about establishing those connections when they present themselves because you never know when it comes back around as an opportunity. Ben Johnson for example, is quite tied in (for over a decade) with Sherman/Philben tree with guys like Dan Campbell and Zach Taylor. The late 2000s A&M and early 2010s Dolphins staff wasn't super successful, but that spawned some great offshoots as we see today. So, I don't think we should assume one's rolodex is thin just because of his role on a team. There was a great story about how Dan Campbell and Zac Taylor met at A&M and it was a lasting impression. And even further back, if Zac didn't pursue the gal he liked at Nebraska, he would've never married Mike Sherman's daughter, gotten that job at A&M, then Miami, eventually propelling him to Cincy. You never know where or where the bridges you build will take you, but best be making them at all times.

Thinking on it some more, something about Macdonald seems right to me. He coached the first defense in NFL history to win the defensive triple crown (point per game, sacks & takeaways). First in overall defense DVOA. Was at UGA for a few years to start his career. Has grinded in Baltimore for 7 years (with a successful detour for Jim at Michigan) Has both Harbaughs and a lot of the NFL thinking super highly of him. The dude also just commands that locker room. Seeing what Kyle Hamilton, Roquan, Queen, & Madubuike, have spoke to, he sounds like an excellent candidate. Also re: BAL - last cycle Breer reported we wanted to interview Matteo and were declined. We requested this time around and got an interview. Matteo & Macdonald could be a strong package.

Often depends on how extensive their NFL experience was prior to coordinating. I.E. Zach Taylor wasn't even an OC at the time and had a great network when he was hired by Cincy due to his background. Slowik has 3 years in WAS and 6 in SF with the Shanahans. I imagine there's more than a few guys he could find to bring in with him.

Yeah I really think BB is happening there. Blank wants him. He's got a talented roster sans QB. Watch them get BB and land Cousins in FA.

Who is falling for the Peacock Wildcard bullshitt

It’s a much larger deal than Swift. People are overblowing how much the NFL and networks are hyping her or whatnot. So what, they show her in a booth like they do with owners for a few seconds during a game. It’s really not a big deal. She’s become arguably the most successful music star in history from a monetary standpoint. She’s in that Garth Brooks/The Beatles/MJ tier when it comes to sales, tours and cultural impact. As a guitarist, not my cup of tea but I say, so what, it’s really overblown IMO. -
That's part of the mechanics that many seem to shrug off. He doesn't make deep drops. Nearly every undersized QB has made a point to have quick deep drops to help survey and find lines of vision (Brees, Russ, Flutie, etc). They all did it. Bryce does this walk back skip session and guys are at the top of the shorter designed routes before he even plants. And bc of this, DL are immediately in his face, even at his line of play when he's just set. He's just way too undisciplined in the pocket. You see these videos by youtubers trying to dissect all these QBs and act all QB-guru...I find it ridiculous that so few point this out. Funny enough, the ones that have aren't these never-was QBs, it's been guys like Kurt Warner and a chunk of The Athletic staff. There's also the accuracy and awareness issues. And ball security problems. And lack of arm. He was #1 bc his game was apparently so fine tuned, that it superseded the substantial, and I mean, sub-f'n-stantial size+strength concerns. This hasn't proven to be the case. And he has issues he needs to correct on top of it. For a #1 pick, that is a disaster. Can't write him off just yet, but he has a LONG way to go.

Doesn't feel like the right time or place for the Fins right now.

I'll have to check it out bc he's the only guy I wouldn't feel that great about.

My wife has one in the oven so I imagine our priorities will likely be shifting haha -
They were widely panned as one of the worst rosters top down for 2 years straight. Just call it what it is. Caserio has built an incredible team, they found an incredible QB, and they absolutely nailed the HC hire. It can be all of the above.
-
It's beyond QBs folks. Houston makes us look so comical. They were regarded as the worst roster and everything just last year and then poof. Caserio, Ryans, Slowik, Stroud, WA Jr, Dell, they nailed it ALL
-
That Metchie throw is a great example. Stepped up after a clean dropback into a muddy pocket. Launched it nearly perfect in stride where only Metchie could get it. Just a beaut.
-
A candidate connection I didn't realize at first: Dave Canales and Ed Dodds were together for like 7 years in Seattle.
-
I just love how well the offense is crafted. Guys like Nico, Noah Brown, Shultz all have such clearly, well defined roles. Great playcalls that show he has an understanding of the dance of it all. The cadence is so well tuned.
-
I think Slowik may be the guy.
-
Slowik, Canales, & Macdonald in particular all seem like really promising choices.

Those watching just to contrast to our circus are wasting their attention. There's a GREAT football game being played.

That right to left placement in stride on a boot to the right was a thing of beauty
