Okay. You lie. This is the Huddle after all.

Wow. This would be awesome. It's always good to have a solid veteran presence on the team. I've always loved watching Jennings getting behind the defense lol.

Alan "Blue Balls" Ball leaves Panther offer on table
GRWatcher replied to CubsWin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I too loved Colin Jones in at nickel. Smartest thing I saw McDermott do last year. Because so often when you have your nickel package in, the offense goes to hurry-up, thinking you've gone small/CB for your nickel back & tries to take advantage of that with runs & options. With Colin in & not being able to sub, we effectively still have 3 LB'rs in to stop those plays and it works really well. He's also fast enough to stay with a slot receiver when he needs to, removing that WR option. I hope they don't mess with this package. But I'm all for competition at all positions & this sounds like it would be a good signing. -
Why Gettleman is a GM... and you aren't.

D Will says Panthers didn't reach out to him when his mother died
GRWatcher replied to QCkilla's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hopefully few of you have had to deal with your parent passing and won't soon. It sucks. My mom unexpectedly passed a few years ago & I can remember feeling very surprised when the sun rose the next morning. The grief can be intense. No one from my -then- place of employment came to the funeral service and, man, it hurt deep. I had already worked there 13 years and I had seen management go to funerals for other employees' loved ones who died. I went when it was someone I felt I knew well. It was part of the culture there or so I thought. So when no one showed it stung. I then discovered that it only happened if you were part of the high-school-atmosphere-cool-crowd. My entire attitude about the company and its owner and management changed. So I totally understand how DeAngelo feels. It's been less than a year. He's still hurting & I 100% get it. btw he had nothing to do with how his interview was released (in pieces) or advertised. That was all on WBTV. He did the interview in one sit-down with Molly & that's how it should be taken. -
I don't think Goodell will do anything until the NFLPA's case for Peterson gets through the courts. AP was on the exempt list & then suspended when he came off of it. It went to arbitration and Peterson lost that. Now it's in court. So we might have another 2 weeks or so before we know what Goodell will do.

4 Things Greg Hardy Must Do to Remain a Panther
GRWatcher replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Let's reference Steve Smith with this statement. Put a clause in the contract for anger management classes (something he obviously didn't do for Smitty the 1st 2 times) would be the smart move. -

4 Things Greg Hardy Must Do to Remain a Panther
GRWatcher replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can't in my mind put Greg Hardy in the same category as Rice & Peterson. Both pleaded guilty and were handed a very light sentence by the courts. Both are currently suspended. Hardy is willing to chance a jury trial to prove he's innocent. By law, he remains innocent until proven guilty no matter what happened in court before. Jerry Richardson seemed to forget that when he cried at the press conference, he did Hardy no favors. If Hardy is found innocent, there needs to be apologies from all sides. So much for point #2. #1 needs to happen no matter what. I hope his agent and lawyers have drilled that into his head. Jurors do consider the defendant's demeanor. Then there's the franchise tag and money. No, he won't give back the money he got while on the exempt list. I don't think the NFLPA would allow it. A good part of the wrangling over the CBA was about the tags and that money. It would set a very bad precedent if he did. However, donating to charity once it is all said & done, as mentioned above, is an excellent idea. Goodell could still suspend him even if he is found innocent. If he is not suspended, his playing for under a million is laughable. There are also rules for the agents to follow with contracts and I'm sure Rosenthal knows them all. A two year contract with a behavior clause would be good, I do hope he stays a Panther. If he is suspended, whether found innocent or guilty, this is all mute. He'll be back somewhere else. Besides NE or NO or Atlanta or Baltimore, there's Chicago or Minnesota or San Francisco or KC or Miami as landing spots too. -
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/physicist-emailed-us-explain-exactly-143048032.html The article has the physicist's full email & explanation which includes the temperature change of the air changing the PSI. To me it makes perfect sense. BTW the refs 'artificially' let out 1 PSI when they tested the balls is what he says.

Training Camp Photos and Observations - Day 4

Tolerate? lol We have to tolerate you now? -
It's the "Ryan Kalil eyes" look that make this pic so precious. The man is not letting anyone pass him! Practice or not. Thanks, Jeremy. Amazing as always!

Thank you, Zod! I love seeing your pics. Much better tackling this game. If they carry it to NO, we'll be victorious. Have a safe trip!

Yeah, well, Talib was having a good year for the Patriots too before he faced Steve Smith. I think Grimes is a little more even tempered & smarter than Talib though. We'll see. Here's to no injuries on either side! Best team wins ............ GO PANTHERS!!!

Never will happen. Never. Bills fans hate Miami. Long, bad history.

There's something about the states of Florida and Texas where we have a hard time getting a win .......................................................

What I remember is Ron saying after the game on the field that he was disappointed by how the defense was playing while Charles Johnson was off the field and that they would focus on that this week. When 95 came back, *BAM* we were a better defense.
-
So you don't think your head coach labeling your offense as putrid would have any motivational affects at all? None? Don't underestimate Palmer, is all I'm saying. And, no p55, you obviously are not fine with wild predictions.

Well, I was trying to be. But there's so much whining and hedging on this board this week that I thought I'd just shoot for the moon. More ways to score than on offense, too. At the very least, we win by under 2 TD's. lol don't be so serious. It's a prediction. My hopes are high.

Freudian slip, Zod? I had to stop reading at that word. Couldn't continue until the tears from laughing so hard stopped. I don't think this game is going to be as easy as some here predict. They're 2-2 and mostly impressing with a win over the Lions who beat the Bears last week in a shoot out. Not too shabby. If our D-line has trouble getting past their O-line (as in Buffalo), it could make for one long day. They will try things to confuse Kuechly, as everyone has this season so far, because he is the true strength of our defense. Brilliantly, he has figured it out each time. Palmer, even with being the statue he is, is a smart QB and a solid pocket passer. Don't let him step up, don't get behind him. I do expect to see more QB roll outs this game too. Our secondary better play their assignments, period. No looking back at Palmer, no playing 12 yards off at the line. Disrupt the routes because it's all going to be timing passes from Palmer. Our offense will have a good day. Think DeAngelo will run and run and run until their D is worn out. Expect more passing in 2nd & 4th quarters. Guard the ball!!! Panthers take it home, 42-29

This is how I think of it. I root for the Falcons to lose every time. Don't think about who they're playing. It's easier that way and it doesn't hurt so much.

lol I'll never remember those unique opponents. I just pull for any AFC team playing an NFC team. If two AFC teams, I don't care. If two NFC teams, worst record unless NFCS.
