A vet at QB while you build everything else up and not over-reaching for a pee wee QB like we did. Bryce is not an NFL QB and Dalton helps us evaluate where the offense currently is and its potential it could have with a real franchise QB. Not only that but it helps to evaluate the defense too instead of using the excuse of them being on the field way too much. Turns out, that side of the ball just isnt good at all. We are building and evaluating, not trying to win it all.

I think he will be trade bait on draft day for teams desperate for a QB that couldnt get their man.

Hes a backup that is playing how a backup should. He still wasnt the top reason for losing like Bryce has been for just about every game he has laced up for. Dalton is still the best option we have at QB.

It wouldnt make sense to me Morgan trading for him only to turn around and trade him away. If we thought he was going to be too expensive to resign, Morgan shouldve never made the trade.

thing is, that doesnt really matter. Bryce had 18 games and never looked good 1 time. Today is proof beyond a doubt that a competent QB makes this team 1,000 times better. Even if Dalton regresses, this is the window of what the team should look like.
