I would like to see what he does this year and then sign him at seasons end if he prospers in this new system but not so sure if he likes that idea unfortunately.

It sucks when you look at it that way but we cant change it now so have to do what we can at this point and I guess that is pay Burns handsomely or let him walk away eventually and or holdout. No other options really.

I can see where you are coming from and have to agree with you here. Our d-line is a concern. Well, in my eyes our running backs and corners are as well.

I mean dude, it is a fan message board for debating. We can still be fans and love our team while not agreeing with every single thing the team does. Its okay to debate and chat as that's what the board is for. I admit there are a few angry smart mouthed douche canoes on here but they mostly hang in the tinderbox and every now and then crawl out of that place where we can smell their presence but they usually go back with the rest of their sludge after telling us what horrible people we are for not sharing their same opinions. Other than that there are a lot of people who debate pretty decently and disagree fairly cordial.

God that guy is such a jerk and a cancer in all aspects of his life. Probably one of the worst team owners in history as well. I think that thief still owes his players back pay that he obviously is capable of paying yet too sorry and cheap to. Disgusting human being.

I didnt think Zappe looked too terrible and did have some potential that could be developed so I would do it just to have a young QB on the roster as a third.

I agree, definitely would not have been replacing him this year with that second round pick. I guess that potential trade would have only paid off well if the Rams were awful the next couple years and then I guess it is still a roll of the dice to hope whoever you do pick to replace him with one of those picks ends up being good and developing. I guess we are where we currently are and must roll with what we currently have. They are definitely going to have to pay up big to keep Burns obviously but I wonder how much.

In all seriousness, there were two first round picks offered for Burns from the Rams weren't there? Was there any other picks or just two first rounders? We are kind of stuck. If we dont resign him then we just gave up two first rounders for nothing but im sure we will resign him and it appears he may be getting paid as either right under the number 1 salary in the league or slightly above.

Josh McDaniels always seems to be on the hot seat when he is a head coach. He should stick to being a coordinator as that is his ceiling.

I would guess SC's OL is just that bad. The Hells schedule doesn't look too tough but when they play some good teams I have a feeling they will be brought back down to reality.

They just beat a SC team with a huge issue with their offensive tackles. Georgia wouldnt have those issues and it would get ugly for the Hells in that game I fear.

You crapped on me at every negative mention of Deon today so I take it you are a big fan of his? Its okay, I was as well at one time but you HAVE to admit how he acted when he came into Colorado was pretty nasty to the team in place already and those kids who represented the team. Doesnt matter how many games they lost if they were good people, they did not deserve that bad of treatment from Deon. haha, i completely forgot UNC probably compensated him there for a minute! I was under the mindset he turned that money down and UNC just gave him his education and some love. Im still trying to get used to this new paying college players stuff!

Wow, talk about a caring coach. Moody jerky guy to the media or not, he apparently has a very kind and loving heart as well as loyal to his former players. I have to respect and admire that.

I would be embarrassed as heck if I was his kid but I guess he can reap the benefits of it for now until he has to back it up on the field today.

I realize he is an accomplished athlete but he came in like a complete jerk and basically told those kids they better pack their stuff up and be prepared to leave. I don't blame anyone who left as I would have immediately as well. I swear Deon has some sort of undiagnosed mental condition aside from his extremely huge ego.
